00:00A devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake has killed at least 2,500 people in Turkey and
00:05Syria. Roughly 10,000 more were injured when the 4 a.m. quake collapsed entire buildings and buried
00:11people in the rubble. The death toll is expected to rise as search and rescue teams continue to
00:16work to save trapped survivors. The earthquake's epicenter was located in a southeastern province
00:21of Turkey and was reportedly felt as far away as Beirut and Cairo, which are about 300 miles
00:26and 1,000 miles away respectively. There were more than 100 aftershocks, including one that
00:32registered a magnitude of 7.5. Freezing temperatures, damaged infrastructure, and
00:37poor internet connectivity in the hardest-hit areas have made rescue efforts more difficult.
