00:14Antony Blinken, the U.S. Secretary of State, told reporters that a substantial offer to
00:19release the two Americans was made to Russia. And when asked for specifics, Blinken declined
00:24to comment. But CNN and other outlets have reported that the deal would include a prisoner swap,
00:29which would send Victor Bu, an arms trafficker known as the Merchant of Death, back to Russia.
00:34The Department of Justice has historically disagreed with prisoner trades, but this
00:39alleged deal has the backing of the Biden administration. Griner has been in Russian
00:43custody for five months and is currently in the middle of her trial. If convicted on drug charges,
00:47she faces up to 10 years in a Russian prison. At the publishing time of this video,
