The recent volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula became a surreal sight for those visiting the Blue Lagoon.
Shared by Brandon, this captivating footage shows the night sky illuminated by fountains of lava rising from the eruption site.
While the Blue Lagoon's parking lot happened to be one of the target zones of the raging lava, the Lagoon itself was not at risk, as it was safeguarded by barriers.
This marked the seventh eruption of the volcano since December, and it’s no surprise that the town of Grindavík has incurred significant damage.
