00:00The Bande Bharat train started running on 1st October. But just within a week of starting
00:04operations, they faced three snags in three days. The most recent problem happened on 8th October,
00:09when the train going from Delhi to Varanasi stopped because of a flat tyre. A train's tyre
00:14should ideally be perfectly round. A flat tyre in a train means that it has some flattened edges.
00:19Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the semi-fast train service on 30th September.
00:24It is a part of the Make in India initiative. Trains ran smoothly initially until a Mumbai-Gujarat
00:30train rammed a buffalo herd on 6th October. The train's nose fell off. But Railways Minister
00:35Ashwini Vaishnav said it could be easily replaced and the trains had been designed
00:40keeping in mind such collisions. The driver had tried to blow the horn and push the brakes,
00:51but he couldn't stop the train because there wasn't any buffer time. The buffaloes died
00:55and the Railway Protection Force filed an FIR against unidentified owners of the buffalos
01:00for misuse of property and trespassing. The next day, another Vande Bharat train
01:04hit a cow again in Gujarat. This time, its nose suffered a minor dent, but it remained intact.
01:10And the day after that, a flat tyre stopped the Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat train in its tracks
01:15on 8th October. All its 1,068 passengers had to be moved to another locomotive.
01:21The snag delayed the passengers by four hours.
