00:00Jinnah said, I can accept only one leader, that is Subhash Bose.
00:05India would not have been partitioned if Subhash Bose was there.
00:30There are two qualities about Subhash Bose which I think distinguishes him most.
00:46While others also had many of the qualities that Subhash Bose had.
00:50But Subhash Bose had one thing, two things, more important than that.
00:57Firstly, he had the audacity. He was a very audacious person.
01:02I'm not telling it's good or bad, but I'm telling in the Indian history there are very few parallels.
01:06Or in the global history, where the people have displayed that amount of an audacity.
01:12Of sailing against the current. And not an easy current, it was a current of the great mighty British Empire.
01:19Netaji said, I will not compromise for anything less than full independence and freedom.
01:25He said, it will be total. I want to free this country, not only from the political subjugation,
01:34but their political, social, economic, cultural mindset of the people have got to be changed.
01:39This will feel like free birds in the sky. The idea that came to his mind, I'll fight the British.
01:46I will not beg for freedom. It is my right. I have to get it.
01:51And if I beg for it, it will be conditional, it will have something.
01:56India would not have been partitioned, if Subhash Bose was there.
02:00Jinnah said, I can accept only one leader. That is Subhash Bose.
02:06He gave that spirit of this courage.
02:11And see the poems that were written at that time for the Azad Hind force.
02:17When he says, kadam kadam badhayaja, khushi ke geet gayaja, kaum ki hai zindagi, kaum pe luteyaja.
02:27That sense of sacrifice.
02:29The political philosophy, the vision, social thinking of Netaji was far beyond his time.
02:42He believed in a very strong India.
02:49Say, had he succeeded, what would he have done?
02:54He said, my first priority will be to give India a very, very strong war machine.
03:00Make India impregnable.
03:04I will build its defences.
