00:00But my nightmare isn't over yet.
00:02Whenever I used to go, you know, elderly ladies used to hug me and cry.
00:05Iita Kapoor.
00:06Has she given a bigger hit than Kyon Ki?
00:08No.
00:08Maybe I didn't make the right choices.
00:12I don't have a godfather. I don't have anybody.
00:22A really very freaky incident happened with me.
00:25You know, my daughter was about 6-7 months old and we had gone to Delhi.
00:32And we had gone to see Taj Mahal.
00:34So there were thousands of people.
00:35And the queue was right outside up to the road.
00:38And somebody spotted me and they said it's Mihir Virani.
00:40Come to see Taj Mahal and everything with his family.
00:42And within minutes, you won't believe me.
00:44Within minutes, you know, they all mobbed me like nobody's business.
00:49My family was, you know, pushed aside, you know, and my clothes were torn.
00:53And we were all escorted back into the car after about an hour or so.
00:58And it was a major mob which came in and I had to run out of Taj Mahal.
01:18One lady in Ghatkopar had a heart attack.
01:20Whenever I used to go, you know, elderly ladies, they used to hug me and cry.
01:24And they said, you shouldn't, you are alive.
01:26And they really think I was dead.
01:27Maybe I didn't make the right choices.
01:51I don't have a godfather.
01:52I don't have anybody, a mentor or somebody to guide me and tell me.
01:56And at that point of time, doing TV and film was not the scene, you know, in the industry.
02:04Only Mr. Bachchan could do it because he's a legend.
02:06And nobody else could even try and do that.
02:08So I was advised by my film producers not to do television and leave television.
02:13And because I had nobody to ask for guidance, maybe I took my own decisions and that didn't
02:20work out.
02:21And that's fine.
02:22I made some mistakes.
02:23I learned from this.
02:25And in the future, I'll make sure that I don't repeat them.
02:36I am not the sort of one who gets into depression or regrets or starts crying.
02:42Since 30 years, I'm working in television and even today, I'm doing lead roles.
02:47And I don't know how many of the people who started with me are still doing that.
02:50Even if we talk about Star Plus channel itself, they haven't given a bigger show than Kyonki.
02:56Have they given that kind of TRPs?
02:58No.
02:59Ikta Kapoor.
03:00Has she given a bigger hit than Kyonki?
03:01No.
03:02See, there is one show or a project in your life that comes and which is, you know, sets
03:09the bar so high.
03:10And the other successes are also successes, but they don't reach up to that level, you
03:15know.
03:16So people start comparing.
03:20I don't know.
