00:00I think it did suddenly hit me after a while.
00:03I've never seen her cry about it since.
00:05I felt like I had to hold it together for everyone
00:08because I feel like I've always been the strong one.
00:30It's never easy, what you both have emotionally gone through, but to be there as each other's
00:39anchor.
00:40I know what happened to me when I lost my dad at a young age, like I was, of course
00:43y'all are way younger and can't compare, but I felt like, you know, you lose your sense
00:48of just bearing and then you don't know how exactly to process it.
00:54And I actually had a cathartic moment much later on, like he passed away in 2004 and
00:59it was in 2006, I actually broke down, you know, and that's when you realize that something
01:05will never exist, but it's there so beautifully in our memory zone.
01:09And I know that you actually have been very strong through it.
01:12And I know with Janhvi's conversations that you haven't reached that point where you've
01:15actually processed it entirely.
01:17And that can happen when you lose a parent.
01:19Yeah, no, I think it took me a while when it happened to kind of accept it.
01:24I think it did suddenly hit me after a while.
01:28But I was just like a bit confused and I don't know, but I had Janhvi, I had dad, so
01:34they were just kind of there to help me.
01:36The thing that I remember when I got the call, I was in my room and I could hear wailing
01:42from Khushi's room.
01:43And I think I barged into her room, howling and crying.
01:47But what I do remember, Karan, is she looked at me and the minute she looked at me.
01:55I mean, I don't know what to say.
01:58The minute she looked at me, she just stopped crying.
02:02She just stopped and she just sat next to me and started comforting me.
02:05And she's never, I've never seen her cry about it since.
02:10Yeah, I think I felt, I don't know, I felt like I had to hold it together for everyone
02:16because I feel like I've always been the strong one.
02:20Listen, but that's a, I mean, it's a tough burden to take at your age, Khushi.
02:26But in a sense, do you think...
02:27For sure.
02:28Okay.
02:29I feel, in a sense, your strength will also help you combat everything that is to follow.
02:48I think I found it comforting for me to just cling onto it as hard as I could.
02:54That's just how I looked at it and that's what I've been doing.
02:56And I think that it's just brought a sense of security and comfort and love.
03:01And I think that I wasn't overwhelmed by anything in terms of it.
03:07I never overthought it.
03:08It just felt right.
03:09It felt nice.
03:10I felt like, I felt like this is what I wanted.
03:13It's what I think deep down I was hoping for and waiting for.
