00:00Diljit Dosanjh's Dilumanati concert's ticket prices have social media buzzing.
00:04And now, the police are also tuning in. Here's what's happening.
00:08Diljit Dosanjh is set to light up the stage with his concerts,
00:11kicking off in Delhi on 26th October and visiting 10 major cities across India.
00:16His concerts sold 2.5 lakh tickets, which is the highest ever by an Indian artist.
00:24The pre-sales of tickets was available on 10th September exclusively to HDFC customers
00:29who had the Pixel credit card, with prices ranging from Rs 1,499 to Rs 19,999.
00:37In just two minutes after the tickets were available online, prices began to fluctuate.
00:42Tickets for Pixel card holders, which were initially priced at Rs 1,499,
00:47surged to Rs 2,499, while the tickets which were priced at Rs 4,999 surged to Rs 9,999.
00:56Two days later, on 12th September, when the tickets to the concert were available to everyone,
01:01only gold and fan-picked tickets at Rs 12,999 and Rs 20,000 respectively were available,
01:08and even they got sold out in less than 60 seconds.
01:12Diljit fans and a few influencers took to social media to express their disappointment
01:17over the tickets being unavailable and said the tickets were overpriced.
01:22While the tickets were sold out officially, they were still floating in the market.
01:26Tickets were being sold in the black market at highly inflated prices.
01:30As per social media users, a few tickets which were priced at Rs 12,999
01:36were now being sold for Rs 40,000.
01:39And few unverified websites were also selling the tickets for over Rs 1 lakh.
01:43Soon, the Delhi Police shared a creative warning on their page.
01:47Reacting to the post, Diljit shared a screenshot of the warning by Delhi Police on his Instagram account.
02:17Diljit's previous concerts in the USA and Canada had ticket prices ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 60,000.
02:29Ticket prices for concerts are not regulated and are decided by the artists and the organisers.
02:35For the upcoming concerts of Dua Lipa in September and Karan Ojala in December,
02:39tickets were priced at the range of Rs 3,000 to Rs 50,000, but they have also sold out completely.
