00:38who has had an enormous impact on world sport

00:42as an Australian Olympic movement,

00:44most successful ever athlete.

00:46The 14 medals is just an extraordinary career

00:49and we really just thank her

00:52for all that she has done for the Olympic movement

00:54and congratulate her on a wonderful career.

01:00She's certainly, you know, our greatest swimmer in terms of the results achieved, extraordinary

01:10record of, you know, 14 medals across those three Olympic Games, so it's a wonderful

01:15achievement, it's a wonderful career, she's got a special place in the Australian sporting

01:20history, Australian Olympic history forever.

01:30She was magnificent in Tokyo, it was a real thrill to be one of the few in the crowd to

01:35cheer her on, and what I'm really so proud of her about is just the way she conducted

01:40herself all throughout her career, she's just been somebody who gets on with the job, produces

01:45extraordinary results, but sets a fantastic example and has really set the standard for

01:50those that have followed and will follow into the future.
