The story of two dads and their twins

They met, dated and planned a family with two kids. This is the story of Sougata and Mayank.

00:00We started calling us Papa, Daddy and that's very rewarding.

00:24We always wanted to become parents.

00:28So when we heard of this concept of surrogacy and one of our friends pushed us to do it.

00:39If you want to have a baby then go for it because the rules might change in some time.

00:49That's when we decided it's the time we should go for surrogacy and have a baby in our life.

00:58But the babies was a surprise to us as well.

01:06When the babies came home everything, an infant, a two day old, here there were two two day

01:13old babies, right?

01:15So right from waking up every hour to feed them, that 15-20 ml of milk to cleaning their

01:23poops and that age you don't really give them a lot of diapers as well so there are a lot

01:30of nappies so you have to keep doing it.

01:34So all of that is a lot of work and we were sleep deprived and I think both of us lost

01:38good 5-6 kilos in a short span of 2-3 months.

01:52So he came to his sister first and after that I came to my sister first.

02:18So both were very accepting and in a way, they both said like we knew already.

02:27And after that around a year or so we came out to our parents.

02:33So the marriage happened on our kid's first birthday.

02:57Every family is a family.

02:58There is no thing that defines father, mother, babies and that's when the family is complete.
