00:07with Rishabh Pant
00:08taking us home
00:10Has to be the icing on the cake
00:31And Surabhi, I've seen you live life king-size
00:35But I'm sure this is a wonderful emotional moment for you as well. What you've just got
00:40It certainly is and ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for coming. I mean, I thank the BCCI for
00:47Bestowing this honor on me, you know, it's four decades in the game where you've not missed a beat
00:53And you've been involved with Indian cricket right through. It's a very touching moment for me because
00:59When I started my cricket at the age of 17
01:02And I finished at 31 as a player at 30. In fact as a player
01:08BCCI were my guardians
01:10Right through they showed me the path to play sport
01:14You know at a time there are people here who have been with me right through those 40 years
01:20Either as administrators either as players
01:24Either as broadcasters either as production
01:28People around the ground, you know who are there when we play the game or watch the game or commentate on the game
01:34So it's a it's a special evening and very touching
01:3840 years you mentioned Ravi and you wore many hats in there
01:43You woke up in the middle of the night and said wow that that was one moment
01:47You've called great moments yourself. You've been coach while great moments have happened
01:51You've been in the middle while great moments have happened. You wake up at 2 in the morning and say wow
01:55I'm so happy. What would that moment be? I think if to pick one would be difficult, but I'll you know, just
02:01Go very quickly. You showed one there 85 because there was a final against Pakistan
02:08So it was a special night at Melbourne
02:1183 being on that balcony at Lords when India won the World Cup
02:17You know that a hundred in the West Indies a double hundred in Australia
02:21but
02:23Commentary doing the World Cup final when I miss it that ball for six and of course in 2007 when they won the t20 World
02:31Cup
02:32Two back-to-back wins in Australia
02:34But if you ask me one the icing on the cake was that last day at the Gabba when we went past the finishing line
02:44with Rishabh Pant
02:45Taking us home has to be the icing on the cake
02:48I
02:52Thank my players for that all of them
02:55And again, we talk about rubbish
02:57That is the most expensive medal you'll ever get what I learned in those 30 years 40 years
03:03Being part of the game before I went into the team as a coach was you got to get some enjoyment
03:09When you play the game
03:10It can't be a desk job from 9 to 6 where you feel the whole burden of the world on your shoulders
03:17You're playing in the Sun you're playing sport get those buttons open and get out and play and enjoy it
03:22That's the only way you can express yourself, and I'm glad this team did it and they've been doing it
03:28You know unfortunate they couldn't win the World Cup
03:31But the cricket and the brand of cricket they played there like Farooq mentioned was great to watch great to commentate on and
03:39The time will come you know sooner rather than later
03:46You
