00:00between the Ravens and the Chargers.
00:02Ravens secure the W 30 to 23.
00:04They up the ante 8 to 4 record wise.
00:06Chargers dropped to 7 and 4.
00:08We were talking about some of the props that didn't look so
00:11great as the game moved forward Tom.
00:14So let's take it offense by offense as we like to do starting
00:17on the Chargers side.
00:18I know one of the things that wounded me tonight.
00:21I was on about it.
00:22I was a little cocky during the pregame talking about some
00:25how does Herbert not hit massive yardage tonight?
00:28I mean, he just went to 97.
00:29He can do it versus this team that lets up 300 plus to
00:32quarterbacks and he closes the night with 218.
00:35That was heartbreaking for me.
00:36His prop was sitting at 262 and a half bumped up a little
00:40bit still giving hope and then there was not much shakeage
00:43when it came to halftime.
00:44We saw everything stay pretty solid which indicated to us.
00:47Okay, there was still plenty of plays still alive.
00:49So what did you make of Chargers offense, Herbert's performance
00:52and some of the props that just completely failed on that
00:55side?
00:56Oh, I want to say Herbert didn't play badly like the like
01:02what his stats reflect is not necessary on him.
01:05He was at 129 at halftime.
01:08We got to remember that 129 at halftime.
01:10He ends the game with 218 yards.
01:12So he has less than a hundred yards in the entire second
01:15half.
01:16He also ends with 21 completions and I spoke heavily on
01:19the pregame show about Herbert going over 21 and a half
01:22completions.
01:24How many drop balls did we see in that second half specifically
01:28from Josh Palmer and Quinton Johnson?
01:30I mentioned that I need Quinton Johnson to have three fantasy
01:33points for me to win a matchup and he ended the game with
01:35zero.
01:35So I'm personally distraught about that.
01:37When we look at Herbert's stats, those drop passes, I'm not
01:42talking about every single pass needs to be caught but catch
01:45four or five of them for another 40-50 yards.
01:47Then his prop would be in play, right?
01:49So like his prop looks bad and maybe could have one passing
01:53touch.
01:53I'm not going to say he would have 300 yards and three touchdowns
01:56off this game, but you know, getting to 250 yards and one
02:00touchdown, that would look a lot better.
02:02And when we're looking at the box score, this is what I've
02:05said since week one, like we have to know things in context
02:07like Herbert's box score looks bad tonight and it's not necessarily
02:11his fault.
02:12Running game was never going to happen today.
02:14I spoke about it on the pregame show.
02:16We're all over that.
02:17McConkie is their main guy.
02:18We did see Will Disley go over 37 and a half receiving yards,
02:22which I said we saw some of these other guys step up and we
02:24also saw some of these other guys fail.
02:26So the receivers for the Chargers, I don't want to say is
02:30the reason that they lost tonight's game, but it's the reason
02:32that their offense didn't move down the field tonight.
02:35No, but it's the perfect point out because let's touch back
02:38to a couple of weeks ago where Herbert put up these monster
02:40numbers and that's when you and I were discussing like these
02:43numbers don't reflect the play that we saw on the field tonight
02:46and now here's the perfect reverse like Herbert did his job
02:50honestly for the most part, but those drops were just what
02:53was that?
02:54It's not anything that I would have expected us to see after
02:57at least for me.
02:58I'm over here raving about the Chargers offense starting to
03:01look collectively better starting to find a rhythm.
03:03I mean key words, they were just completely burnt out by
03:07the time that halftime came undone.
03:09So McConkie is probably the one thing that anybody could
03:11stand behind so behind so sharply outside of talking about
03:14Herbert.
03:15I mean they were talking about the fact that he had such
03:17a veteran presence and he's still so new to all of this.
03:19So 83 receiving yards through the air six receptions.
03:23I mean hats off to him.
03:24Honestly, it would just got better if he was able to find
03:26the end zone tonight just to secure the stats and help out
03:29Herbert just a little bit more.
03:30But if it wasn't for the work that he put in, I mean, we
03:33don't know what these numbers would have looked like.
03:34So key point out on that part.
03:36That's for sure.
03:37I'm so sorry about Clinton Johnson.
03:39I felt that vein for you after you threw out the tweet and
03:42the fantasy numbers and I didn't want to add insult to injury,
03:45but we do have probably a brighter spot.
