00:00The Armed Forces of the Philippines is ready to help, if ever, to investigate the people involved in the misuse of the fund of the Office of the Vice President.

00:10The first to appear in the news of the OVP withdrawing money was Col. Dennis Nolasco,

00:17security officer of the DepEd, and Col. Raymond Dante Lachica,

00:20head of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group.

00:23This is Patrick Nesus of PTV sa Balitang Pambansa.

00:28In the midst of the tensions in politics, the Armed Forces of the Philippines said that there is no need for a loyalty check on their behalf.

00:37The AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Browder Jr., was the first to remind the soldiers to remain professional

00:44and to continue their duty to protect the Constitution.

00:49At this point, sir, there is no need for loyalty checks.

00:52Our Chief of Staff has already stated that he trusts that each soldier will perform its mandate accordingly and remain professional.

01:01The AFP also appealed for them to stay away from politics,

01:05following the statement of former President Rodrigo Duterte that military action is needed.

01:11What we are emphasizing here, sir, the Armed Forces of the Philippines is a non-partisan organization.

01:19We respectfully request that we are shunned away from political issues.

01:23The AFP also reiterated that the chain of command remains strong.

01:28It will remain intact and secure.

01:31We take pride in being military professionals.

01:35Meanwhile, AFP is ready to assist in the investigation of their two officials

01:41who were mentioned in the hearing on the misuse of the funds of the Office of the Vice President and DepEd.

01:48They are Col. Dennis Nolasco, the security officer of DepEd,

01:52and Col. Raymond Dante Lachica, the head of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group.

01:58Confidential funds were disbursed to them, although they were also explained in the following hearing.

02:05Can categorically say that they are active officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines?

02:12If they will be called for investigation, the Armed Forces of the Philippines will assist them.
