00:00Local authorities in Peterborough and Huntingdon are selecting the sites where they want to see commercial development take place over the next decade.
00:09I asked Vanessa Pomeroy, Managing Director of Barnaca Estates in Peterborough, what she wanted to see from the local councils.
00:17Yeah, so I guess the most important thing for us is to just have that continued conversation.
00:25So it's about getting the ground truth from developers about what's needed and just providing a service so that when we do have a suitable site,
00:37it can be brought forward quickly and efficiently without too much red tape.
00:43And yeah, we can contribute to the growth in the city, that is the vision.
00:47Yes, so I think the right sites in the right place is important, but you need that pipeline.
00:55Development is a pipeline and it can take two, three, four years to see sites come to fruition and be available for occupation.
01:04So you need that pipeline full now to get the right sites brought forward to then be able to build those out and occupy them.
