00:00I don't know if the Falcon fan with Kirk Cousins coming in new head coach and everything else
00:07going on that they would have taken six and five.
00:09I think they expected a little bit more.
00:11They were six and three looked like they were going to separate themselves from the pack
00:15in the NFC South and then two straight losses at six and five and here we are the same old
00:20land of Falcons.
00:21It doesn't matter who the coach is, doesn't matter who the quarterback is, doesn't matter
00:24who the coordinators are.
00:26They just can't get themselves out of that six and five, you know, when everything is
00:30said and done, nine and eight, eight and nine situation where on paper, you know, they look
00:35to be a pretty good football team, but Kirk Cousins is, this is why Kirk Cousins has never
00:40won big.
00:41You know that you can give this guy $60 million, $50 million like the old George Steinbrenner,
00:46right?
00:47You give a guy more money, he's going to perform better.
00:48No, George, he's still a two 50 hitter.
00:51It doesn't matter how much money you give him and we're Kirk Cousins, same thing.
00:55He still fails in big time spots, no matter how much money you get them and no matter
00:58how much faith you have in them.
00:59To me, they should be better than six and five, but still in first place game over Tampa
01:04Bay, you know, heading into Sunday's games, but I think most fans would be disappointed
01:08in the Falcons.
01:09I agree.
01:10Uh, mainly because of the last two weeks, right now, once again, you lost to Pittsburgh
01:14week one.
01:15All right.
01:16Well, whatever.
01:17Pittsburgh ends up being a good team.
01:18You lose the Kansas city.
01:19Okay.
01:20Uh, Seattle loss at home.
01:21I, I don't think the loss is all that bad is that you got crushed by 20.
01:26All right.
01:27That's what hurts here.
01:28The new Orleans loss that probably can't happen.
01:31You know, again, the only thing that was depleted there, uh, then you're getting utterly wrecked
01:37by Denver that, that certainly can't happen.
01:39You can lose the Denver.
01:40Denver is once again, better team than we thought here, but you can't get destroyed.
01:43I think their problem is, uh, what's wrong with will be twofold one.
01:49There's no past pressure.
01:50I, they, they just, there's just nothing.
01:52All right.
01:53And Scott, you know, maybe you don't draft the quarterback around one.
01:58Maybe you don't do that.
02:00And you take the past rush.
02:01It was what verse, right?
02:02He was available there.
02:03They could have taken him and they didn't.
02:05All right.
02:06So, uh, you sort of, uh, made your own bed here, so I don't feel bad for you.
02:09And now two is, Ooh, I don't care cause it's banged up.
02:13He hasn't looked good.
02:14He's, he's seeing the rush because he's throwing up his back.
02:17He's doing the old Eli Manny when Eli Manny got, uh, late in his career, you know, seeing
02:21the rush during it was back foot cause he doesn't want to get hit no more.
02:23All right.
02:24You can see that.
02:25So that's a problem as well.
02:26I mean, you got Bajoran Robertson, right?
02:28London's had a great season.
02:29Mooney's come out of nowhere.
02:31Pitch is playing better.
02:32This team should be able to move the football offensive line is so, so, and that might be
02:36being kind.
02:37It's not good.
02:38But, uh, so I think that's what the problem is.
02:40I think Kirk Cuddens started to feel the rush.
02:42It started to decline a little bit here.
02:44And, uh, I said on defense, I mean that quarterback can order a pizza, have a coffee, read the
02:48newspaper before he has to throw the football.
02:50There's no pass rush coming anytime soon.
02:53Not an easy schedule.
02:55They have a couple of absolute winnable games, but then everyone else after that is, is tough.
02:59You know, they got the chargers all be it at home, but that won't be easy this weekend.
03:02Obviously then they play at Minnesota, tough at the Raiders.
03:06They should win giants at home.
03:08You would think there's two wins there.
03:11Washington and then Carolina, which theoretically you should win that one as well.
03:15So you got, you got really three games that you, you'd have to screw up royally to lose.
03:20Maybe you get one of those other two, whether it's this weekend, whether it's against the,
03:24the, the commanders, you know, they could go four and one and finish 10 and seven when
03:28everything is said and done, um, you know, or four or two rather and when everything
03:33is said and done, which, you know, I guess is okay.
03:36It's probably going to win that division, but it would be a disappointment to me.
03:39I mean, sooner or later, like we can say, all right, you lose to Pittsburgh.
03:42We get it.
03:43You lose to Kansas city.
03:44We get it.
03:45You know, you lose to Denver.
03:46Okay.
03:47But you know, if you're a good team, you're on the other side of that, you know, you say,
03:52well, you lost to Atlanta.
03:53Okay.
03:54That's, that's okay.
03:55They're a good team.
03:56Like you can't stay on the fence.
03:58You're either going to be really good or you're going to lose all these games to all these
04:01teams that are seemingly better than you.
04:06I mean, I have a ticket on Atlanta.
04:08Okay.
04:09I certainly want Atlanta to win that division, but this game, Sunday against the Chargers
04:13is a problem.
04:14All right.
04:15They've already lost two in a row.
04:16I can see it being four in a row.
04:17Real easy.
04:18Now the Chargers going cross country, short week and a early start.
04:21I love the NFL, the way they do people favors here.
04:24By the way, if anyone ever wants to convince me that the NFL cares about competitive balance,
04:29just look at the schedule every now and then.
04:31They do not.
04:32They don't give a damn.
04:33But anyway, Los Angeles, good team, certainly could win the game.
04:35And you play Minnesota next week.
04:37That's a loss.
04:39You're not going to beat them.
04:40That team is just too good.
04:41They're better than you.
04:42You'll lose.
04:43You'll beat Vegas.
04:44You'll beat the Giants.
04:45The Washington game, you know, depending on what happens here, if they do stumble here,
04:49that could be a wild card game.
04:50Who gets in the playoffs here if Atlanta stumbles?
04:52Because New Orleans, by the way, and Tampa Bay are both there for the division title.
