00:00Despite the political noise of late, the National Economic Development Authority, or NEDA,
00:06believes the economy will remain unaffected. That is because of the steps being taken by
00:11government that maintain the ideal conditions and the policies that help create a more vibrant
00:16investment climate. PTV's Clazer Bardilla has more.
00:22Renalyn plans to expand her menu this coming December. She will add spaghetti and traditional
00:27Filipino delicacies to her offerings. Renalyn explains, aside from the climbing number of
00:32customers during the holiday season, she also noticed how diners enjoy their meals more
00:38while glued to the television. Despite the intensity of political issues,
00:53the National Economic and Development Authority remains confident this will not adversely affect
00:59the economy.
01:23The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is focused on the implementation
01:37of the Philippine Development Plan. It includes programs aimed at improving the lives of Filipinos,

01:56Marcos Jr., alongside economic managers and leaders from the Senate and Congress,
02:01the chief executive emphasized ensuring sufficient funding for the government's
02:06priority programs. He also highlighted the need to continue projects under official development
02:12assistance which rely on financial or technical support from other countries.
02:32The Department of Trade and Industry remains optimistic that more local and foreign investors
02:38will choose to invest in the Philippines. This optimism follows the upgrade of the
02:42Philippines' economic outlook by S&P Global Ratings from stable to positive.
02:47This signifies increased confidence in the ability of both the government and the private sector in
02:53the Philippines to meet financial obligations. It also reflects the country's strong economic
