00:00The 87th season of the UAAP Cheer Dance Competition kicks off on December 1st.

00:07Jamaica Bayaka has the details.

00:12Three days prior to the launch of the new season of the UAAP Cheer Dance Competition,

00:17the eight universities are ready to compete for the title.

00:20With a blend of cheer and dance steps,

00:23fans will surely be cheering loudly for the performances of each participant.

00:27Colorful, action-packed, and rhythmic music can be expected at the cheer dance.

00:32The participants share the theme of their pieces,

00:36which the audience will be looking forward to,

00:39as they put a twist and unique concepts into their performances.

00:43First to perform will be the Ateneo Blue Eagles with their Universe theme,

00:48followed by the Uni Pep Squad.

00:50The UST Salingawi Dance Troupe will showcase their 90s Kids concept,

00:54followed by the Adamson Pep Squad.

00:56Meanwhile, the fifth participant, the UP Varsity Pep Squad,

01:00will bring an Outer Space theme.

01:02Second to the last dance will be the DLSU Animo Squad.

01:06Closing the show will be the defending champion FEU Cheering Squad,

01:10who will wow the audience with their Frozen theme.

01:13At a press conference held yesterday,

01:16Technical Head Paola Nunag said that they will continue the criteria established last year,

01:22but with enhanced concepts that will be displayed in this year's competition.

01:46According to the head coach of the defending champion FEU Cheering Squad,

01:50Rondal San Ricorio,

01:52there is a pressure on him as a coach,

01:54but they will still deliver their best performance in the competition.

02:20People are expecting a lot,

02:22especially our community.

02:24They have high hopes that this year,

02:27we will finally break the back-to-back pulley,

02:32four times the chart,

02:34so that the Philippines can create its own dynasty.
