00:00Without further ado, Vice President Sara Duterte of the NBI will talk to the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability Chairman Rep. Joel Chua.

00:15Good afternoon, Ma'am Connie and to all of your listeners.

00:19Last but not least, VP Sara said it's too late for the House Committee on Good Government to cancel the Public Accountability.

00:28I hope that the NBI will pass it today. What is your reaction to that?

00:35Last 3 o'clock, we pressed on and we gave instructions to Comsec to send all the resource persons so they can be officially notified.

00:52Is it possible to affect your hearing, the investigation of the NBI?

00:57The investigation of the NBI is different from ours. They have different topics.

01:04But in that manner, will you be able to give a different direction when you listen to it?

01:13In my opinion, we have nothing to do with the investigation of the NBI.

01:21So you will stick with that?

01:22Yes.

01:24But what will be the direction of your hearing?

01:29The detention order is still in the hospital.

01:37For us, our number one priority here is in aid of legislation, the drafting of the law.

01:44For the past seven hearings, we have discussed a lot of things.

01:51One of them is to limit agencies or departments that have nothing to do with intelligence gathering.

02:01They should not be given confidential funds.

02:04By next week, hopefully, we will file two laws in Congress.

02:11Can you tell us what additional laws can be added because of this hearing?

02:17One is the requirement, we will limit the requirement for those who will become SBOs,

02:25or what we call Special Dispersing Officers.

02:28As we have seen, it is very lax.

02:31What we are talking about is the money of the people.

02:37That's why the importance of Special Dispersing Officers should be limited.
