वैदिक पंचांग के अनुसार, 30 नवंबर और 01 दिसंबर को मार्गशीर्ष अमावस्या है। इस दिन गंगा समेत पवित्र नदियों में स्नान-ध्यान किया जाता है। इसके साथ ही पितरों का भी तर्पण एवं पिंडदान किया जाता है। मार्गशीर्ष अमावस्या तिथि पर पूर्वजों का तर्पण करने से व्यक्ति को पितृ दोष से मुक्ति मिलती है। इसके साथ ही पितरों के आशीर्वाद से धन और वंश में वृद्धि होती है। शास्त्रों में मार्गशीर्ष अमावस्या पर दान करने का भी विधान है। अगर आप भी भगवान विष्णु की कृपा के भागी बनना चाहते हैं, तो मार्गशीर्ष अमावस्या पर प्रातः काल में स्नान-ध्यान करें। इसके बाद विधि-विधान से भगवान विष्णु एवं शिव जी की पूजा करें। वहीं पितरों का तर्पण के बाद ब्राह्मणों एवं जरूरतमंदों को भोजन खिलाएं। इसके बाद अपनी आर्थिक स्थिति के अनुसार इन चीजों का दान (Margashirsha Amavasya 2024 Daan) करें।

Along with this, tarpan and pinddaan are also done for the ancestors. By offering tarpan to ancestors on Margashirsha Amavasya, a person gets freedom from Pitra Dosh. Along with this, wealth and lineage increase with the blessings of ancestors. There is also a provision of donating on Margashirsha Amavasya in the scriptures. If you also want to be a part of the grace of Lord Vishnu, then take bath and meditate in the morning on Margashirsha Amavasya . After this, worship Lord Vishnu and Shiva with rituals.
