00:00As the town of Jose Panganiban in Camarines Norte,
00:10it has experienced many typhoons.
00:13The typhoon Christine did not rise yet,
00:16while the typhoon Pepito hit their homes and livelihoods.
00:21So, in the continuation of our Operation Bayanihan,
00:24of the GMA Kapuso Foundation,
00:26they are the ones we are asking for help.
00:33Before the super typhoon Pepito hit,
00:37more than 15,000 residents of Jose Panganiban in Camarines Norte already evacuated.
00:44Including Antonio's family.
00:48Because in the following calamities,
00:51the roof and walls of their homes are almost empty.
00:57He also said that he was about to pass out because of the typhoon.
01:01It was very dangerous,
01:03that's why my neighbor said,
01:05I want to build a house properly.
01:08It's really dangerous.
01:10When the typhoon passed,
01:12we just talked to the neighbor,
01:14the neighbor who took me to the school.
01:18The livelihoods of fishermen in the area are also affected.
01:22They were not allowed to fish for five days because of the bad weather.
01:29Donations will help us a lot,
01:31especially in food,
01:33in kind, like rice, canned food.
01:36The damage to the homes is not that severe,
01:40but there was a pause in the livelihoods of our fellowmen.
01:45Before the landfall of the Super Typhoon Pepito in the country,
01:50the relief goods of the Jericaping Supervision were already prepared for the affected provinces.
01:57And today, we were able to send help to 4,000 individuals in Jose Panganiban.
02:04This is a big help for us,
02:06especially for us,
02:08we have been paying for this for a week.
02:12I am thankful that there are people like you who are giving.
02:17Tomorrow, we will be able to send help to Catanduanes,
02:22where the typhoon first landfalled.
02:25If not in the tent,
02:27the fishermen are hoping for help from the residents of Catanduanes
02:32so that they can fish.
02:34Many people lost their homes because of the Super Typhoon Pepito.
02:39And to prevent that from happening,
02:42they were given food packs by the J.M.E. Capuso Foundation.
02:49In Trapal, this is where the family of the fisherman, Tomas,
02:54from Baras, Catanduanes, lived.
02:57Since they lived near the sea,
02:59their house was washed out by the waves and wind
03:04because of the Super Typhoon Pepito.
03:07His fishing boat was also not saved.
03:10It's a good thing that they were able to escape and have children
03:13before the typhoon came.
03:24In the town of Panganiban, where the typhoon first landfalled,
03:28many houses were destroyed,
03:30including the house of Shari's family.
03:34He is now disposing of the house
03:36so that his children can have a place to live.
03:39It was a very difficult time.
03:48Aside from the families,
03:50the residents were also affected by the typhoon.
03:54As a help, the J.M.E. Capuso Foundation immediately responded
03:59by providing relief goods to more than 6,000 people
04:05in the town of Panganiban and Baras.
04:12We also gave gift bags to more than 200 students
04:17from Kinder to Grade 6 at Mabini Elementary School,
04:22where we established Capuso Classrooms
04:25and at San Miguel Elementary School.
04:28Shari's children were among those who received early Christmas gifts.
04:34I am thankful to J.M.E. Capuso for giving us early Christmas gifts.
