00:42President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. says on Friday, November 29, he is personally against the
00:46filing of an impeachment complaint versus Vice President Sara Duterte
00:49This is not important.
00:53This does not make any difference to even one single Filipino life.
00:58Why waste time on this?
01:03What will happen if somebody files an impeachment?
01:07It will tie down the House, it will tie down the Senate, it will just take up all our time.
01:12And for not?
01:13For what?
01:14For nothing?
01:15For nothing.
01:16None of this will help improve a single Filipino life.
01:20As far as I'm concerned, it's a storm in a teacup.
01:23Asked if he had reached the point of no return with his former ally, Marcos says,
01:27Never say never.
01:29Earlier Vice President Sara Duterte said,
01:32If I get impeached, then that is my end.
01:36Tapos.
01:37Asked about her relationship with Marcos, she said,
01:41I really believe that we have reached the point of no return.
01:45They are really going after me.
01:54And they really want to remove me from my position.
02:00Vice President Sara Duterte does not appear before the National Bureau of Investigation on Friday morning, November 29.
02:07The NBI had subpoenaed her to explain her threats against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,
02:12First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and Speaker Martin Romualdez.
02:17NBI Chief Jaime Santiago says his office received a letter from Duterte where she explained
02:22she was not informed early enough of the postponement of the November 29 House hearing.
02:28Santiago says Duterte's NBI appearance is tentatively reset to December 11.
02:33The NBI will also subpoena 12 people who actively participated in Duterte's online press conference on Saturday, November 23.
02:41Duterte had since backtracked and she said she was maliciously taken out of context.
02:48Responding to a question, Santiago says the Vice President is not immune from suit.
02:53Under the Rodrigo Duterte administration, the NBI handled a similar case, that of Ronel Mas.
02:59The 25-year-old teacher was arrested without a warrant and swiftly charged for his social media post
03:04about a P50 million reward to anyone who will kill then-President Duterte.
03:11Australia approves a social media ban for children under age 16.
03:16It forces tech giants from Instagram and Facebook owner Meta to TikTok to stop minors logging in
03:21or face fines of up to AUD 49.5 million or AUD 32 million.
03:2777% of the population wanted it, according to latest polls.
03:32A trial will start in January with the ban to take effect in a year.
03:36The Social Media Minimum Age Bill sets Australia up as a test case for age restriction amid global concern
03:42over social media's impact on the mental health of young people.
03:45Countries including France and some US states have passed laws to restrict access for minors without a parent's permission,
03:51but the Australian ban is absolute.
03:54Alphabet's subsidiary YouTube is exempt because it is widely used in schools.
04:00OPM band Ben & Ben releases a new album Friday, November 29 titled The Traveler Across Dimensions.
04:07The 12-track album also comes with animated visuals.
04:12The animated music video of the first single, Triumph, is a sneak peek into the concept of the whole album.
04:24The band members say they really wanted to explore visual storytelling along with their music,
04:28hence this collaboration with animators.
04:31In the album, listeners can follow the journey of the central character, Liwanag,
04:35and her adventures to find inner peace.
04:38We begin with wide-eyed innocence, and then we encounter pain, and then we encounter struggles.
04:47And then we go out of that, hopefully, with a renewed sense of hope, but this time with maturity.
04:55Ben & Ben is set to hold its first arena concert on December 14, 2024 at the Mall of Asia Arena,
05:01promising fans a, quote, innovative, multi-dimensional experience.
05:08K-Pop girl group NU'GENES is leaving Adore and its parent company, HYBE.
05:13The group members announced in a press conference Thursday, November 28,
05:17their exclusive contracts with Adore will be terminated by midnight of Friday, November 29.
05:22In a translation by Soompi, member Minji says the group is tired of HYBE's insincere attitude
05:28and felt once again that they have no desire to listen to our requests.
05:32Among NU'GENES' demands was for HYBE to address statements on the group
05:35in the leaked Weekly Music Industry Report.
05:38They also want an apology from the manager from another HYBE group who told its members to ignore HANI.
05:44HANI testified at the South Korean Parliament on workplace bullying back in October.
05:49Member Danielle reassures fans NU'GENES will continue its activities as a group,
05:53adding they aim to pursue freely the activities that we really desire after leaving Adore.
06:02And that's today's wrap. I'm Julian Sirineo. Thank you for watching.
