00:00a guy who's rather unpleasant gets an unlikely present here's your Christmas
00:04spot on the Funko pop books a Christmas Carol
00:07Ebeneezer Scrooge
00:10celebrate the spirit of Christmas with a pop holiday Ebeneezer Scrooge figure
00:31from a Christmas Carol this beautifully crafted figure captures the
00:35transformation of infamous miser showcasing his iconic sleeping cap and
00:39housecoat a must-have for collectors and fans of the classic story this pop
00:43symbolizes the joy of redemption and true meaning of the holiday season and
00:47his bed had the curtains and him with a cap then his bell on his door got
00:52repeatedly tapped ho ho ho how about before we get a closer look at the Funko
00:55pop books Ebeneezer Scrooge not to be confused with a specific Scrooge from a
00:59Christmas movie this is actually based on Scrooge from the original Christmas
01:02Carol book let's grab the tape measure and let's see how tall old Ebeneezer
01:06stands he's technically really on his display stand you could really remove
01:10that all together if you want I'm gonna keep it on for right now and that's
01:12gonna give us a size of Scrooge being about four and a half inches in height
01:16or roughly about eleven and a half centimeters tall yeah as I was saying
01:20Scrooge does technically have a display stand I will say one of the things right
01:24away that's naughty about this figure is the fact that the display stand doesn't
01:26stay at all on his feet sort of get a cobblestone flooring which kind of
01:31really strange really for having Scrooge on top of this he's clearly
01:33dressed ready for bed but then they would give him a display base that looks
01:37like this instead I didn't mean to rhyme when I said that the set actually of
01:42Christmas Carol characters will be of course this one Jacob Marley tiny Tim
01:46and then the ghost of Christmas past present and ghosts of Christmas yet to
01:50come I don't want to call it Christmas future but they all seem to have the
01:52same exact display stand so I guess they want to come and keep things consistent
01:55not opening up any of the other ones yet maybe it's one of those cases where you
01:59could be able to take the display stand just put it down for a second maybe be
02:03able to interlock them and maybe that's one of the reasons why we have some
02:06bricks sticking out like this so that they can in fact interlock them because
02:09you have three on this side you only have two on the other so if you had
02:12obviously one on this side they would just attach yeah okay you guys get what
02:16I'm talking about get this also as well like just the peg is way too small so
02:20for all intents and purposes it really should plug onto the bottom of his feet
02:22with ease and it does but it doesn't stay on there all that well I mean I
02:26find a lot of times even though it's doing it right now it just every time I
02:30want to pick up Scrooge it seems like his display stand just wants to fall
02:33off him I would have made the peg maybe just a little bit bigger but nice little
02:36display stand even though it doesn't really make much sense to have Scrooge
02:38walking out outside with a little candle in his hand speaking of the candle that
02:42happens to be one of the accessories that the figure does have it's
02:45permanently molded to his hand it has been lit I don't want to get too close
02:48to it I don't want to burn myself by hot burning wax but you can see there's a
02:51little bit of wax dripping down the side of his candle what would be the term for
02:55a candle carrier leave it with me I'll look it up online of course he does have
03:00his jammies on he also has as well a housecoat the housecoat does match that
03:04of his winter hat or his sleeping cap like the way that it's actually draped
03:09down to the side here's a little pom-pom to the side a little bit more of an aged
03:12Ebeneezer you can see he's got some wrinkles there on the side of his face
03:15some wrinkles down below just below his eyeballs large black eyes also on
03:19Scrooge the figure does have some posability I mean it goes with the
03:22territory that you know with Funko Pops you don't get a whole lot of stuff if
03:26it's either like a Star Wars when maybe a bobblehead for example if not for that
03:29usually it's just straight swivels in the heads one thing I'm glad at least to
03:34see is that when you rotate his head even as close of a quarters that may get
03:38to his hair I mean obviously if he turned his head all the way around right
03:41away that would kill him and then he'd have to be the ghost of just a bitter
03:44old guy but like rotating his head that would burn the hair right away but
03:48luckily though it doesn't clip the candle when you rotate the head all the
03:52way around it doesn't it doesn't actually hit the candle I've actually
03:55had a couple of Funko Pops which was the one the the vinyl of Friday
04:01Friday 13th Jason Voorhees and he had a machete and you couldn't turn his head
04:04at all because the machete would always graze the bottom of his chin luckily
04:08though other than you may be just burning a little bit of skin doesn't
04:10look like at all it interferes with Scrooge's articulation but that's
04:13basically all you're really going to get for the figure a detail overall again is
04:17nice on him he doesn't have any sculpted eyebrows I thought that he would have
04:21actually gone in there and sculpted it but tends to usually be the case with
04:24Funko Pops it's only just the eyeballs and the nose that stick out everything
04:27else usually tends to be painted in place but the eyebrows for the most part
04:31are painted well I mean got little wrinkles in between there as well
04:33coloring on his hair looks good it matches that of the eyebrows I love the
04:37red I think the red is a really nice touch now generally when I'm watching
04:40Christmas Carol it tends to be the black and white classic 1951 starring
04:43Alistair Sims so color-wise I don't tend to know even know what colors he's
04:47usually wearing for pajamas I think when I've seen the colorized version maybe
04:50he's wearing like purple or maybe it might even just be a red like this but I
04:54think the red works quite well although it's somewhat ironic the fact that we're
04:57giving a guy that hates Christmas the idea of like a red cap and red you know
05:01of course you know housecoat because of course it matches that of what you know
05:04one of the characters he would hate for Christmas Santa Claus again the only
05:08thing about it is the display base well it doesn't really make more sense to
05:11have Ebenezer Scrooge walking out in the at night you know wandering around the
05:15streets especially for a man who's known for having money but I guess again they
05:18want to make sure that you know when you're getting the other Funko Pops
05:21which we probably will end up looking at for the I've already picked up Jacob
05:24Marley I'm also even planning to pick up Tiny Tim and you know before I know
05:27it I'm sure I'm probably gonna pick up the entire set of six which again would
05:30be the ghost of Christmas past present and yet to come and again when we have a
05:34look at all the other ones I'm gonna have these all interlocking and just to
05:37show you because I think that's probably why they've done it like this because
05:39you got the two on the one side got the three on the other clearly I mean I know
05:43math enough to know that that's gonna be probably one of the reasons why like if
05:46the bases are exactly the same like that yeah you just flip them around I'm
05:49explaining all the obvious things that you guys already know but again like I
05:52like the fact that they include display bases half the time really when it
05:55comes to Funko Pops you don't even get a display base but they throw a little
05:58few extra frills when it comes to the release of Ebenezer Scrooge and really
06:01all the rest for that matter of the pop books Christmas Carolines seem to all
06:05come included with display stands Ebenezer by the way is number 38 so even
06:09though he is only really part of a set of six they listed him as number 38 so
06:14obviously the bigger broader pop books I'm not gonna really even delve more
06:17into I can't really think of other pop book characters have to look at that
06:21also online as well but I think they probably could have either also listed
06:25this as like Ebenezer being one because he's a you know of course Christmas
06:29Carol subcategory to the books but again I guess Funko just decided to have like
06:32you know one large number to occupy all the Funko Pop books but again nice for
06:37obviously Christmas generally this is the channel that you know don't tend to
06:41look at a many Funko Pops just because again like I I don't like Funko all that
06:45much but you know though there's something rather interesting about the
06:48Christmas Carol ones may have also something to do with the fact that just
06:51because I love the 1951 film with Alistair Simm it's always the one that
06:55I always watch at Christmas Eve without fail every single year it's Christmas
06:59Christmas Carol star in Alistair Simm that's the Christmas Eve movie and then
07:02I usually watch after that Mr. Bean what a what a weird pairing to have Christmas
07:06Carol and then of course Scrooge and of course Mr. Bean back-to-back those are
07:10all the ones I watch always as an annual tradition on Christmas Eve these are
07:13also ones that I'm probably gonna be putting out on my mantle it seems to be
07:16a much fuller mantle than the previous years with all the things that we've
07:20just recently looked at here in this channel with many more to come my mantle
07:24is gonna be quite abundantly stocked along with the other stuff stockings the
07:28other stockings they're hanging there as well just untying my twisted tongue a
07:33candlestick by the way candlestick I don't know why I didn't know what a
07:36candlestick was I even know Jack be nimble and Jack be quick he tried to
07:40jump over a candlestick I don't really know what ended up happening to Jack did
07:44he fall on the candlestick did he burn his behind Jack went quickly to the
07:47hospital I don't know what I do know though is I like the look of Ebenezer
07:51Scrooge here you know again like for a guy that doesn't like Funko Pops it
07:56seems more lately I seem to be looking at a lot a lot of them granted the ones I
08:00tend to look at our holiday themes we looked at a fair number of them during
08:03the hollows season of Halloween now of course we're looking at some here for
08:07Christmas we're not just gonna be obviously stopping here with Ebenezer
08:10Scrooge we're gonna also be as well looking at Jacob Marley but I I have
08:14already also ordered a tiny Tim whether the hard thing with that though is that
08:19when you have six figures with those and of course the other three ghosts of past
08:22present yet to come to go only halfway through to only call in about half of
08:27that you would think that the person would then be getting the remaining of
08:31that set so like I'm looking at that I'm thinking myself well if I have three I
08:35mean it's only a hop skip and a jump away it's basically how far Jack be
08:39nimble would have leaped over the candlestick to leap over and just grab
08:43the other three so I'm I don't know I might just grab all six of them but
08:46obviously you'll know when we have a look at all six of them that this this
08:50guy not named Jack did actually hop over and pick up the other three I like
08:55Ebenezer Scrooge in the fact that first of all he does come in clear with the
08:57display stand well that's really making more sense that he's gonna be wandering
09:01around outside in the cold winter nights at least he does have one and of course
09:05they all interlock with one another that's my assumption may because
09:08obviously if they're not gonna give a completely different base if they all
09:11have the same base logic would then dictate to us that those bases would you
09:14just flip them around that's how it works it's simple shapes everybody
09:18whether it's Christmas shapes or not Ebenezer has limited articulation it's
09:21only gonna be of course in his head but that goes you know goes with the
09:24territory of Funko pop figures I like the look of Ebenezer you know what would
09:28that mean that my heart's gonna grow three times that size I'm gonna end up
09:31liking Funko pops no no no no that's not gonna be the case but at least for
09:36holiday themed ones yeah sure we might be looking okay we will be looking at
09:39more in the upcoming videos what do you guys think by the way of Ebenezer
09:43Scrooge let me know down below in the comment section you guys know I'm also
09:45probably gonna be asking this too if the we're looking at Ebenezer Scrooge the
09:49logical question would be posed to you guys what's your favorite Christmas
09:53Carol 1951 doesn't have to be the 1951 I know like Muppets Christmas Carol has a
09:57big following personally I'm not a big fan of it myself don't please be
10:01chucking the turnips at me I'm not a big fan of Muppets Christmas Carol 1951
10:06is where it's at for me but what's your favorite let me know down below in the
10:09comment section if in the meantime you guys did enjoy this video do it a solid
10:12throw it a like you guys want to stick around for more so oh I hope so hit that
10:16subscribe turn on that Bell but the most important thing of course is that you're
10:19coming back as always thanks for watching see you guys next time
