Formerly Known as 343 industries, Halo Studios, talks about the changes they're making in their game development process.
Transcript
00:00Halo developer 343 Industries is no more. Now rebranded Halo Studios, in a video reminiscent
00:07of Bungie's viddocs, the company announced their new direction adopting Unreal Engine
00:125. With the disclaimer that it's not a game, it's a research project, studio art director
00:17Chris Matthews showed off Project Foundry, utilising Unreal to develop gorgeous biomes
00:23and immaculate character models with pristine details.
00:26The biomes are a familiar sight, from the Pacific Northwest inspired Valhalla-esque
00:31greenery, to the desolate snowy wasteland reminiscent of Snowbound. Interestingly, the
00:36third biome shows a land devastated by the flood, possibly hinting to the franchise staple
00:41enemies return for the first time in the main series since Halo 3.
00:45The video continues to stress a new chapter for the franchise, with VP and studio head
00:50Pierre Hintze calling their most recent title, Halo Infinite, the last remnants of how they
00:55made Halo games in the past, with the future focused on starting anew, slyly dropping that
01:01they have multiple games in development.
01:03So what do you think of this news? Are you looking forward to the future of the Halo
01:06franchise? Are you excited to fight the flood again? Let us know in the comments and as
01:10always stick with GamesRadar for the latest news, previews and more.
