00:00Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the most iconic video game
00:10glitches of all time from the hilarious to the terrifying to the just plain weird.
00:24Number 30 Persistent Alma โ€“ F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin
00:36Alma Wade, the ultra-powerful psychic little girl of the F.E.A.R. series, is already pretty
00:40creepy but this glitch from the second game made her even more so.
00:43Mostly encountered during the swimming pool section, this bug made Alma appear floating
00:47around and she would never go away.
00:49It was bad enough whenever she'd show up intentionally but having her hang around hovering
00:53in and out of your vision was all the more upsetting.
01:00Number 29 The White Cube โ€“ Marvel's Spider-Man 2
01:10Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 was a great open-world experience but it still had a strange, common
01:14bug that plagued players.
01:16Some experienced the glitch when switching suits that turned their hero into a small
01:20white cube.
01:21This didn't seem to affect gameplay.
01:22You could still web-swing around New York City and use all your spidey moves to bring
01:26justice to criminals everywhere and thankfully restarting the game solved the issue.
01:30Still, a tiny box pummeling bad guys is a wacky thing to see in a game.
01:41Number 28 Floating Eyes โ€“ Detroit Become Human
01:50Detroit Become Human took itself fairly seriously with its story chronicling an android uprising
01:55but it could be hard to stay in the moment if you experienced this bug.
01:58In some occasional cutscenes, players would find that certain characters had turned invisible
02:02save for their eyeballs which were simply left floating in mid-air.
02:06Other characters would still interact with them in the same manner as if nothing had
02:09happened which could definitely be unnerving.
02:11It's hard to get the piercing stare of disembodied eyes out of our head.
02:19Number 27 Mother of a Bug โ€“ Mafia 2
02:28Family is important in this 1940s crime thriller.
02:31The plot follows your character taking on criminal work to pay off his father's debts.
02:34In a key cutscene that sees him visiting his mother, however, it made some players second
02:38guess their familial commitments.
02:40Particularly found in the Mac version of the game, this bug would replace the mother's
02:43face with a much more leathery looking visage.
02:46Her skin is certainly disturbing but her beady black eyes don't help either.
02:50Suddenly, the call of death and danger didn't seem so bad.
02:57Number 26.
02:58Giant Hands โ€“ FIFA 14
03:06There are plenty of bugs and glitches to be found throughout the FIFA series and this
03:10one in FIFA 14 is undeniably hilarious.
03:13It seemingly happened after pressing a certain string of buttons whenever the ball was out
03:16of play.
03:17And if done properly, every single player's hands would turn gigantic.
03:20There's nothing quite like playing through a match with everyone mimicking the Foo Fighters'
03:23ever-long music video.
03:24Though, we'd imagine this would make it a bit harder to score in real life with the
03:28goalie's hands being the size of boulders.
03:39Number 25.
03:40Monty Multiplied โ€“ Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach
03:51Like many before it, Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach has you sneaking around a
03:54bunch of animatronic animal nightmares to make it to safety.
03:57However, this glitch could make things a lot harder on you.
04:00Accomplished through sequence breaking, this bug caused Monty the Alligator, specifically
04:04the one operating the spotlight inside the atrium, to multiply.
04:08And if you were then seen by a security bot, there's nothing in the world that could
04:11save you from the group of duplicates, which would also come stampeding after you.
04:15Intimidating, for sure, but undeniably entertaining.
04:26Number 24.
04:27Face in the Sky โ€“ Mountain Blade Warband
04:35Like many action RPGs, Mountain Blade Warband has players face plenty of imposing, deadly
04:40challenges.
04:41But, what do you do against a giant face in the sky?
04:44Pray?
04:45Yes, a persistent bug in the ground could swap the sky's texture for that of someone's
04:50face, stretching it across as far as the eye could see.
04:53You could ignore it, or try reloading your game.
04:55But it certainly left an impression, being both utterly creepy and hysterical at the
04:59same time.
05:07Number 23.
05:08Spooderman โ€“ Marvel's Spider-Man โ€“ Miles Morales
05:20Before the White Cube, Miles Morales' solo game featured an even more ridiculous bug.
05:24If you went into the menu, selected a new suit, and held the cancel button at the same
05:28time, it's possible it would change Miles into Peter's opening suit from the 2018
05:32game.
05:33Only, their character models aren't exactly the same, and Miles would be left with a severe
05:37lack of chin.
05:38This caused everyone to refer to this model as Spooderman, named for the classic meme
05:42drawing.
05:43We imagine it would be hard for his villains to take him seriously, looking like that.
05:53Number 22.
05:55Madden NFL 15
06:02In one of the solo challenges for Madden NFL 15, players discovered an incredible glitch
06:06that EA even embraced.
06:08When playing as the Cleveland Browns, it turned the normally 6'2 Christian Kirksey into
06:12a 1' tall Tiny Titan.
06:14This in no way impeded your ability to do the challenge, so it was fantastic fun completing
06:19it as the miniscule player.
06:20Seeing the positivity around it, EA promoted the bug when it was found.
06:24It also released a promotional video with the actual Christian Kirksey casting him as
06:27his 1' tall self.
06:34Number 21.
06:35The Homing Briefcase โ€“ Hitman 2
06:43In the Hitman series, you can make pretty much everything a weapon to dispose of your
06:47target.
06:48And while a briefcase certainly can be a weapon, the ones in Hitman 2 came with an unintended
06:52feature.
06:53If two players threw it at someone, it would home in on them, albeit slowly, until it met
06:57their target and took their life.
06:59Players loved the comical nature of getting a kill like this, making the bug extremely
07:03popular.
07:04They liked it so much, in fact, that when developer IO Interactive removed it, there
07:07was an uproar of fans wanting it to return.
07:10It was then brought back, with the homing ability kept as a feature.
07:19Number 20.
07:20Jumping Face โ€“ Call of Duty Ghost
07:23This popular shooting franchise has a disturbingly hilarious secret.
07:34Equip a rocket launcher with a riot shield as your secondary weapon, then crouch and
07:38constantly aim down your sights to create what looks like some sort of entity piercing
07:42through someone's skull.
07:49Just what is that thing?
07:51It looks like it's trying desperately to escape this poor guy.
07:54Feel free to comment on what you think that might be.
08:01Number 19.
08:02Invisible Faces โ€“ Assassin's Creed Unity
08:08The glitch that spawned a thousand nightmares for players and Ubisoft alike.
08:13Upon its release, Assassin's Creed Unity was plagued with so many bugs and glitches
08:17that it affected the public's trust in the series.
08:21But this infamous bug stands out as the poster child for the broken mess the game was.
08:25If you ever need a reason not to fall asleep, just remember that he is always watching you.
08:34Number 18.
08:35Round 100 โ€“ Duck Hunt
08:37Apparently, the programmers thought no one would ever get as far as level 100 in their
08:44game.
08:45Because in the ultimate form of torment, when you get to this levelโ€ฆ
08:49Okay, hang on.
08:50Where was the duck?
08:52Oh, you can't be serious.
08:56You know, if video game Olympics were a real thing, this might be a red flag to test that
09:01duck for doping.
09:06Number 17.
09:07Giraffe Man โ€“ Battlefield 3
09:14During the beta for Battlefield 3, there was a random glitch where a soldier may end up
09:19with no limbs and a long neck.
09:21This poor guy apparently can't seem to crawl properly and for some reason shoots his gun
09:26with his ass.
09:27Cause he can?
09:34He scores bonus points when he grows so big he covers the subway.
09:39Or at least we think that's him.
09:45Number 16.
09:47Get a Room โ€“ FIFA 12
09:53FIFA 12 features a rare moment of overexcitement that can happen when you score a goal, in
09:58which the striker starts making out with the goalkeeper from the other team.
10:04Whoa, watch that hand there, guys.
10:08It's great that professional sports these days are more accepting of LGBTQ players,
10:12but having lovers on opposite teams playing against each other?
10:16Is there a franchise rule against that?
10:18They probably should be traded on to the same team.
10:24Number 15.
10:25Backwards Super Long Jump โ€“ Super Mario 64
10:35This is a popular exploit used by speedrunners to access areas of the castle previously inaccessible
10:40without obtaining a certain amount of stars.
10:47Best performed in a corner, this glitch allows Mario to build up enough jump momentum to
10:52pass through solid walls or travel incredibly long distances Superman style.
10:58Glitch or not, the guys who do these jumps are freakin' wizards.
11:06Number 14.
11:07Twisted Dr. Mitchell โ€“ Fallout New Vegas
11:14This creepy glitch is strangely relevant to the story as the intro of New Vegas starts
11:19with the player getting shot in the head and having a doctor reconstruct the player's
11:23brain.
11:24But upon awakening, you get the idea that he didn't get the reconstruction quite right.
11:35Oh, and if that wasn't creepy enough, look what he does next.
11:39Whoa there, what are you doing?
11:41Do you know what website we're on here?
11:46Number 13.
11:47Roach's Travels โ€“ The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
11:57You can summon Roach, Geralt of Rivia's horse, from just about anywhere in The Witcher 3.
12:01The only problem is that sometimes your steed will have some trouble getting to you, especially
12:05if there's rough terrain or a house in her way.
12:07This has led to a ton of glitches, well documented by the player base.
12:11Roach may get stuck standing on her hind legs or simply stuck in the side of a landscape.
12:15In the most famous instances, Roach would get stuck on the roof of a building, leading
12:19to the most popular meme surrounding the game, which was even referenced by Netflix in its
12:23marketing for the show.
12:30Number 12.
12:31The Corrupted Blood Incident โ€“ World of Warcraft
12:41On September 13th, 2005, the introduction of the Zul'Gurub raid created a server-wide
12:47panic.
12:48The raid's end boss, Hakkar the Soul Flayer, would cast a spell called Corrupted Blood,
12:53which caused players to slowly drain health for a few seconds.
12:56However, the spell also spread to any NPCs or pets, and dismissing pets would cause the
13:01debuff to remain indefinitely.
13:04As a result, the spell spread like a plague across multiple servers, and Blizzard was
13:08forced to do a hard reset.
13:15The incident even drew the attention of real-life epidemiologists to study how humans would
13:20react in a viral breakout.
13:22Whoa.
13:24Number 11.
13:25The Ascension of the Jackdaw โ€“ Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
13:35Now here's a glitch that seems like it came from biblical scriptures.
13:39During Edward Kenway's travels on shore, he may return to his ship only to find it
13:43missing and the water around where it should be has parted, revealing a deep hole in the
13:48ocean.
13:49your crew members are stuck above the hole, hovering in the air.
13:56And then things get really strange.
13:58Oh, and to top it all offโ€ฆ
14:09Number 10.
14:10Demonic Babies โ€“ Sims 3
14:16For the love of all things holy, just kill it with fire, please.
14:20This is a weird glitch that happens usually with newborn or infant sims.
14:24We understand that their mothers will still love them, but how on earth does one give
14:28birth to something like that?
14:34Are those claws or fingers?
14:37We can't quite figure it out.
14:41Number 9.
14:43Grand Theft Auto IV
14:52A game this big and detailed is bound to come with a few kinks, like the suicidal cops glitch.
14:57However, the one we're going with is a glitch that's not only humorous, but fun.
15:08Grab a car and drive to this swing set located at Firefly Projects in Broker.
15:13Then slowly drive up to it and keep accelerating untilโ€ฆ
15:20Number 8.
15:21Hercules Check โ€“ NHL 13
15:27Now this could get us to sign up for NHL Game Center.
15:30Alas, the only place to really see the Hercules Check is in NHL 13.
15:35The glitch occurs whenever you check another player into the open bench door while a line
15:39change is occurring.
15:44What makes this glitch even more awesome is that EA Sports released a video supposedly
15:49endorsing the glitch and acting like it was always meant to be there.
15:57Number 7.
15:58Pimp My Wagon โ€“ Red Dead Redemption
16:00We've given this entry to what one might imagine a modern gangster would ride around
16:08if he were around in the Wild Wild West.
16:20Of course, since it's still a glitch, trying to actually drive one will result inโ€ฆ
16:26Yeah, that's not gonna work.
16:32Number 6.
16:33Bad Physics โ€“ Skate 3
16:39It was impossible to narrow down a single glitch from Skate 3 as the game's unusual
16:44physics and free skate mode allows for some pretty hilarious moments like trying to use
16:48the force to grab your board or deciding to spontaneously visit the sewer by jumping through
16:53the sidewalk.
16:56Sadly, these glitches have often been cited as more entertaining than the game itself.
17:05Bummer.
17:08Number 5.
17:09Glitches Galore โ€“ Skyrim
17:17You get a glitch and you get a glitch and you get a glitch.
17:20Skyrim has a lot of bugs to choose from and we're highlighting three.
17:24The first happens at random when a dragon pulls a powdered toastman and ends up flying
17:28backwards and the second happens whenever you do the ice form shout to an enemy on a
17:33cliffside.
17:40And finally, the third appears to be the fantasy equivalent of E.T.'s flying bike.
17:45Ever seen a horse turn into a flying pinball?
17:47We think not.
17:52Number 4.
17:53MissingNo.
17:54Pokemon Red and Blue
17:55A popular exploited glitch that has since become a legend, the bugged Pokemon with a
18:03name that stands for missing number appears by first talking to the man in Viridian City
18:08who teaches you how to catch Pokemon.
18:10Then fly to Cinnabar Island and surf along the east coastline until the seemingly pixelated
18:15Pokemon appears.
18:23Confronting this glitch has two effects.
18:25It duplicates the sixth item in your inventory but it also causes the Hall of Fame to crash.
18:30Side note, considering this Pokemon's infamy, why hasn't MissingNo. become a legitimate
18:34Pokemon yet?
18:39Number 3.
18:41Sean.
18:42Heavy Rain
18:43In the final act of the game, spoiler alert, when you find out who the killer is, a rare
18:52glitch can appear in what is supposed to be a very emotional scene, turning it into comedic
18:57gold.
19:02Just watch, it's even better towards the end.
19:05Ethan picks up Sean and carries him while still shouting his name.
19:09Amazingly, the glitch still remains in the PS4 remaster.
19:17Number 2.
19:19GoldenEye 007
19:26This is a glitch that happens whenever the cartridge in the N64 is tilted, causing NPCs
19:31to spin erratically and we do not recommend trying to replicate it.
19:35But what makes this glitch memorable is what happened when you put the footage on the internet.
19:40A little song called Promise by Heroes Komi is used as background music.
19:49The result is this amazing meme that inspired people to dance in erratic poses done completely
19:54in freeze frame editing.

20:16Number 1.
20:17Minus World Super Mario Bros.
20:25Mario might just have the most famous glitch of all time, as it's practically synonymous
20:29with gaming itself.
20:30You can perform this glitch by clipping through the wall at the end of World 1-2, as shown
20:35here, and then traveling down the nearest pipe.
20:43This takes you to World Negative 1, which is essentially World 2-2, but with one difference.
20:49Once you get in the pipe, you'll go back to the start.
20:52Translation, you are doomed to die here.
