00:00Development of the Lumbia Air Base in Cagayan de Oro City is being hastened.
00:05On the visit of Defense Secretary Gilbert Chodoro and AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browner Jr.,
00:11Calihim said that the developments will be targeted in 2026.
00:16It will be the base of the 15th Strike Wing, an attack unit of the Air Force,
00:21and also the center of the disaster response of Northern Mindanao,
00:25along with the proposed naval base in Tagaloan, Misamis Oriental.
00:29The Lumbia Air Base is also one of the EDCA Sites,
00:33or Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement of the Philippines and America.
00:37It will serve as storage of the American Forces' equipment and supplies
00:41if it will help in the disaster response in the Philippines.
00:44Development is also being hastened in eight EDCA Sites.
