00:00Aleppo, Syria's second-largest city, on Saturday after the army withdrew from the city.
00:05At the moment, there is a large displacement of civilians from the city for fear that radicals
00:10will use the 2 million inhabitants as human shields.
00:13They added that the streets of the city are empty, civilians are staying in their homes
00:17and employees are not going to their workplaces, for fear of the radicals roaming the streets.
00:22The Syrian army has retreated to Aleppo International Airport and the Nairab airbase, while large
00:27convoys of reinforcements continue to arrive to launch a counterattack.
00:36And in Syria, President Bashar al-Assad assured that the government forces, with the support
00:40of Russia, continue to strengthen the defense lines in the affected areas.
00:44During a telephone conversation with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin
00:49Saeed, the Syrian leader said that his country continues to defend its stability and territorial
00:53integrity against all terrorists.
00:55In this context, Bashar al-Assad also stressed that Syria, with the help of its allies and
01:00friends, is capable of defeating and eliminating the terrorists, no matter the severity of
01:06their attacks.
01:26The Israeli occupation forces carried out three massacres in the Gaza Strip during the
01:32last 24 hours, leaving at least 47 Palestinians killed.
01:37Health authorities added that the attacks left about 108 wounded.
01:41Authorities warned that both figures could be even higher since many of the victims remain
01:44trapped under rubble of the infrastructure affected by the bombings.
01:49Israeli forces continue to block the entry of ambulances and civil defense teams.
01:53According to the most recent health report, at least 44,429 Palestinians have been killed
02:00and another 105,250 have been wounded since October 2023, mostly women and children.
02:13And in Palestine, the foreign ministry condemned the constant aggressions of the Israeli forces
02:17against the country, with emphasis on the Gaza Strip, which it considered violations
02:21of international law.
02:23In a statement, the foreign ministry stressed that the continuous Zionist aggressions by
02:27the Tel Aviv regime requires international action to stop the genocide against the Palestinian
02:33people, which has so far claimed the lives of more than 43,000 Palestinian citizens.
02:40It also questioned the continuous Zionist attacks and incursions against the people
02:44and the aggressions in the occupied West Bank.
02:46The foreign ministry urged the world community to put pressure on the Israeli regime to stop
02:51the genocide, and allowed the Palestinian National Authority to exercise full sovereignty
02:55over the territory.
03:03The United Nations Relief and Public Works Agency has warned that people in the Gaza
03:07Strip completely depend on humanitarian aid amidst Israeli aggressions.
03:12The agency shared testimonies of displaced Palestinians who have been unable to get medicine
03:16or food as they ran out of them, due to Israeli restrictions on operations in the region.
03:23They say civilians in Gaza have been forced to rely solely on humanitarian aid, while
03:27United Nations availability of resources keeps falling due to the Israeli blockade.
03:31The agency reiterated the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, stressing that Israel
03:36continues to control the entry of supplies into the Gaza Strip, thus aggravating the
03:41humanitarian crisis.
03:47And the port city of Tyre, Lebanon is slowly coming back to life on Saturday, as businesses
03:52that had suffered damage during the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah reopened.
03:56Over the past three days, some of the thousands of residents displaced by the 13-month attacks
04:01that escalated in late September returned to their homes and businesses.
04:05Store owners were reporting painting and rebuilding their cafes, while other businesses resumed
04:10work.
04:11Tyre has been subjected to almost daily airstrikes for the past two months, flattening entire
04:15buildings and forcing many of its residents to flee to safer areas in Lebanon.
04:29The situation is very difficult, with bombings and a crushing economic crisis.
04:35Of course, we have seen that people are slowly coming back, reopening their shops, trying
04:39to fix their situation and, as you can see, they are repairing things.
04:44Those who have broken doors are replacing them and repairing things.
04:48And December 1st marks the International Day of Prisoners for Peace, a day to recognize
04:53the courage of conscientious objectors who are in prison because of their resistance
04:57to war.
04:58The aim is to support people who have been in prison for taking action against war and
05:01in favor of peace.
05:03International Prisoners for Peace Day was declared by World Resisters International,
05:07Global Network of Peace and anti-military groups around the world.
05:11World Resisters International encourages everyone to support the cause of these people
05:15who have been in prison for trying to defend peace.
