00:00The International Criminal Court or ICC has called on those who want to investigate the war on drugs of the Duterte administration.

00:08Again, the Department of Justice denied that they have nothing to do with it.

00:16I'm asking the ICC to hurry up and start the investigation tomorrow.

00:23The ICC does not scare me a bit.

00:28Two weeks after the attack of former President Rodrigo Duterte,

00:32the International Criminal Court or ICC issued a call for witnesses.

00:38This is for their investigation of the allegations of crimes against humanity,

00:42including murder, torture, and sexual violence in the war on drugs of the Duterte administration.

00:49The ICC is appealing for direct witnesses,

00:53including members of the PNP and other legal entities who are aware of what happened.

01:06According to the lawyer of the victims of the EJK or extrajudicial killings of the Duterte administration,

01:11the website is a big deal, especially since the Philippines is not a member of the ICC.

01:16That's why they can't build offices or help desks that are accepted by the witnesses.

01:22I think they are also looking for additional information that will connect to Duterte in the case of the killings.

01:29I would say that the ICC is now preparing for trial, not just an investigation.

01:35But is it safe for anyone who is suspected of being a witness in the ICC?

01:40They have a process where if your information is material, heavy,

01:46and you need it for the trial, you will be allocated witness protection.

01:51Your witness protection may be within the country or you may be transferred abroad.

01:57They are also hoping that this December, a warrant of arrest will be issued against the former President Duterte.

02:03Conti said that if Duterte is arrested in the Philippines,

02:06he will be transferred to a country that is a member of the ICC before he is brought to The Hague in the Netherlands.

02:12We are still trying to get information from the former President Duterte.

02:15The Department of Justice will not interfere in the independent process of the ICC.
