00:00Thank you Bhaiya, I also feel very happy that when you are giving this pleasure, it is a proud moment and that is why we work hard so that we can tell someone about our journey on a platform which can inspire the youth.
00:21H.O.T. is a B.I.U. and they say that he was there for that time and the next day he was back to normal. So, I understood what their mentality is.
00:37This is what makes a difference. And I am not of that type that if I see my benefit, I will say what is right and what is wrong. This is what I have learnt from my parents.
00:50This is just the beginning. If you guys keep supporting like this, there is a lot more to come. I will take professional boxing to the next level in India.
00:59Some kids think that they can do it, but they haven't been able to do it. If there is something missing in me, it will remain. Otherwise, I will do my best.
01:19We have had medal winners at the Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. All these boxers represent amateur boxing.
01:28Today, I have got a guest, a boxer, who likewise started his journey as an amateur boxer and then transitioned himself into professional boxing.
01:37Today, he has done something that no other Indian has ever done before. Only a few days back, he has won the World Boxing Federation Super Federalweight title.
01:48Welcome to our show, Mandeep Jangra. Thank you so much for coming in. It is such an honour to host you. Huge congratulations for taking India and making its presence felt in the world of professional boxing. Thank you so much, Mandeep.
02:03Thank you, Bhaiya. I am also very happy that you are giving me this pleasure. This is a proud moment. This is why we work hard.
02:16I feel that I have also been able to tell someone about my journey on a platform that has inspired youth. I have also been able to come out of my phone and come out to the world. Thank you so much for giving me time on your platform.
02:33It is my honour, actually. So, Mandeep, it was a few days ago when you defeated Conor McIntosh of Britain. Now, you have won for yourself and for us also.
02:49Currently, you are the champion at the World Boxing Federation Super Federalweight category. How is your emotional state right now? It has been 6-7 months, a few days ago. Have you settled down?
03:08Are you back to training, back to routine? Or are you still excited that you are the champion? How is your present emotional state?
03:21Bhai, they call it maturity. It has just come. They say that it was for that time only. The next day, I was normal. There was excitement. It was the same time when it was announced that you are the first Indian. So, I feel good.
03:43I have learnt from life that you should do your duty. You will definitely get what you are destined for. But yes, keep doing your duty because when your destiny starts working, at least you will feel fulfilled that you are ready.
03:57So, to be ready, you have to work hard. That's what I do. My target is not yet fulfilled. I have to do something else. If I keep that in mind, I think I can't achieve my main target.
04:14So, I have forgotten that thing. It was there and maybe it will be there name-wise. But we have to create many more things so that we can open more doors for Indian boxers.
04:31So that tomorrow, India's name will be heard. In the professional line, you would have never heard or seen the name of Indian boxers. Vijendra Bhai gave you a good start-up. But unfortunately, he was injured.
04:48Yes, yes.
05:18We are ready to invest. But we have to produce first.
05:25True, yes. That's a typical champion mindset of yours.
05:30Yes. As we all know, from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson to Floyd Mayweather, everyone's initial journey started with amateur boxing.
05:44You started as an amateur boxer. In 2013, you were a silver medalist in the Asian Amateur Boxing Championship. In 2014, you won a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games.
06:11After that, you came to professional boxing as a champion. How was that transition period? Because it's very different, right? Because in amateur boxing, there are 3 rounds and in professional boxing, there are 12 rounds.
06:25I'll tell you the reality. In 2014, I lost a quarterfinal in the Commonwealth Games in the Asian Games. In amateur boxing, there are 9 rounds.
06:46Since I've been scoring like a pro, I've been losing. That's why I'm moving away from the Olympics. Because people just sit there and don't know who's winning and who's losing.
07:02After that, I tried. In 2015, I won an international medal. In 2016, I went for the Olympic qualification. I had a surgery for my hand. I couldn't do it. After that, I had a surgery.
07:20After that, I carried on with this injury from 2011 to 2016. I'm blessed by God. I'm doing my hard work. It's not a big deal.
07:47The boxers who are with me, my seniors, I've seen them work very hard. You've heard of Akhil Kumar, he's very hardworking. After that, Jeetendra Kumar, Vijendra Kumar. I've seen them work very hard.
08:08I've seen them work very hard. I've seen them work very hard. I've seen them work very hard. I've seen them work very hard. I've seen them work very hard. I've seen them work very hard.
08:36I've won all the national bouts from 5-0 to 5-0. I was named as the best boxer in the national team. I was going to be announced as the best boxer.
08:51I was going to be announced as the best boxer in the national team. I was going to be announced as the best boxer in the national team. I was going to be announced as the best boxer in the national team.

I was going to be announced as the best boxer in the national team. I was going to be announced as the best boxer in the national team. I was going to be announced as the best boxer in
13:32the national team.
13:38I was going to be announced as the best boxer in the national team.
13:54He's also there to interview or something.
13:56So he said, like, no, man.
13:59But then what we did was, our Saheed, Bhagat Singh, etc.
14:04They wanted to throw us out, so they hanged themselves.
14:07We called them and made them kings.
14:09We were used to being called.
14:12So then he got caught up in those things.
14:15And no one said anything.
14:18Everyone was surprised.
14:19You should have given this to your children.
14:22They took me out of the team and said,
14:26my name was cut off.
14:28I didn't go to the Asian Games.
14:29It's fine.
14:30My heart was broken.
14:31Everything happens.
14:32Then I tried again.
14:35And then I won an international medal
14:40in the Poland tournament.
14:42After that, they said,
14:45can you believe there's an event in India?
14:47The best charts are played in India.
14:49So they played in the Indian charts.
14:50And I was surprised.
14:54Obviously, when I gave the torch to someone,
14:58I came to India in second rank.
15:00He said he'd give a trial in fifth rank.
15:02He said he'd give a trial in fourth rank.
15:04It's his own statement that
15:06whoever is in second rank, third rank,
15:08the fourth will give a trial with the fifth.
15:11And I'm giving a trial.
15:14I brought a medal from the event in the morning.
15:16In the evening, they said, give a trial.
15:18Can this ever happen?
15:20There's a lot of effort.
15:22Then I knew I had won.
15:24I beat him.
15:26The referees at the coaches' camp
15:28were making fun of me.
15:30I couldn't believe it.
15:32I understood their mentality.
15:35This is the system.
15:37They wanted to make fun of me.
15:39I wasn't of that type.
15:41If you see your benefit,
15:43say what's right and what's wrong.
15:45I learned this from my parents.
15:47I didn't accept it.
15:49I gave an excuse and went home.
15:51I left the camp.
15:53I left the camp.
15:55After that, there was a BFI league.
15:58I left the camp in May.
16:01There was a league in December.
16:03No one was taking me in that league.
16:05I was India's best achiever.
16:07How is this possible?
16:09They weren't taking me in the league.
16:11They replaced me with someone
16:13and called me at the end.
16:15They said, are you going to play?
16:17Come.
16:19I'll tell you the prize money.
16:21They were making fun of me.
16:23It's fine.
16:25When you're hungry,
16:27there's nothing to do.
16:29I was out of the team.
16:31I was training at a place
16:33where there's no boxing.
16:35There were kids there.
16:37I was training them.
16:39They were training themselves.
16:41I was training 5-year-old kids.
16:43I was training 5-year-old kids.
16:45I had a competition with them.
16:47I trained there.
16:49If I beat the India campers,
16:51I deserved it.
16:53I trained 5 fights.
16:55I could have won the league.
16:57I trained 500 continues.
16:59I won 500 continues.
17:01I beat the national champion
17:03and the national best boxer
17:05of that time.
17:07I beat him.
17:09I beat the world medalist
17:11of Uzbekistan.
17:13I beat him.
17:15I beat the Asian medalist
17:17of the time.
17:19I beat him.
17:21I beat him.
17:23There was another Indian camper.
17:25They were all Indian campers.
17:27I beat
17:29Dinesh Tagore.
17:31I beat
17:33Dinesh Tagore.
17:35I beat
17:37Dinesh Tagore.
17:39I beat
17:41Dinesh Tagore.
17:43I beat
17:45a boxer
17:47who was not in the team.
17:49I reduced his entry.
17:51He was a world champion.
17:53I beat him.
17:55I won 500 continues.
17:57There was Amit in that league.
17:59He won 5 fights.
18:01You must have heard his name.
18:03He won
18:055 fights.
18:07He left the bout.
18:09He didn't play continuously.
18:11I played continuously.
18:13I deserved
18:15to be the man of the series.
18:17I was not given that title.
18:19The one I beat
18:21was not even
18:23in my camp.
18:25This is too much.
18:27After that,
18:29I decided to prove myself.
18:31I proved myself.
18:33I won the title.
18:35I came back.
18:37I had changed my weight.
18:39I decided to try one more time
18:41in MHA.
18:43I was playing in the state.
18:45It was difficult to become a champion there.
18:47I became a champion in 64 kg.
18:49After that,
18:51I played nationally.
18:53I won
18:552-3 fights till the quarter-final.
18:57There was a one-sided fight in the quarter-final.
18:59I drew it and
19:01I won.
19:03How could it be possible?
19:05There were limits.
19:07If I
19:09want to file a case against them,
19:11I can do it.
19:13I don't want to harm other kids.
19:15I have all the proofs.
19:17I have their statements.
19:19I have their selection.
19:21I will do it.
19:23I have their criteria.
19:25Why can't I do it?
19:27It's simple.
19:29I won't say much.
19:31It happens in India.
19:33It can happen with players like Marius,
19:35Arjuno Hody,
19:37Yes.
19:39It can happen with anyone.
19:41Absolutely.
19:43You have a link there.
19:45When I turned to pro,
19:47I never told this
19:49on the internet platform.
19:51I am telling you today.
19:53My video was viral.
19:55It was the last time
19:57I was defeated in the national.
19:59I had to give up.
20:01I had to make a video.
20:03It was viral.
20:05I never said this in any interview.
20:07I never said this in any news.
20:09Today, I am telling you on the platform.
20:11It happens.
20:13I started with a lot of struggle.
20:15Here, pro and amateur
20:17are totally different.
20:19You have to learn the basics.
20:21I learned the basics.
20:23Whatever I achieve in front of you.
20:25Whatever happens,
20:27happens for the good.
20:29Obviously.
20:31I told you this in the beginning.
20:33Everyone works hard.
20:35You get it according to your luck.
20:37You get it before time.
20:39You never get more than your luck.
20:41You have to work hard
20:43to get more than your luck.
20:45You don't know when you will get your luck.
20:47So, yeah.
20:49After 2016,
20:51after 2017,
20:53I had a bad time.
20:55Nobody knows.
20:57I struggled.
20:59Nobody knows.
21:01When I saw everyone
21:03in the news,
21:05they were congratulating me.
21:07Yeah.
21:09It's fine.
21:11You know the struggle behind it.
21:13Maybe.
21:15Maybe.
21:17That makes it
21:19only more sweeter.
21:21You have endured so much.
21:23Or maybe
21:25it has only made you
21:27more tougher mentally.
21:29You can do anything.
21:31This is the situation now.
21:33You have seen so much.
21:35In front of you.
21:37And now,
21:39you are talking about luck.
21:41You are the maker of your own destiny.
21:43And
21:45I want to say this
21:47to everyone.
21:49If they believe in themselves,
21:51nobody can defeat them.
21:53It's very important to believe in yourself.
21:55I had said this.
21:57If I am losing,
21:59let me lose.
22:01So that my addiction ends.
22:03You are cheating me
22:05and keeping me alive.
22:07You are setting me on fire
22:09so that I can do more.
22:11Either
22:13let me win with good books.
22:15I accept it.
22:17If you can't win,
22:19at least give me a chance.
22:21Have some shame.
22:23This guy is playing
22:25for 6-4 kg.
22:27If he doesn't get appreciated,
22:29you are losing.
22:31So that he doesn't win and
22:33doesn't come back.
22:35This won't happen.
22:37So yeah.
22:39I had said this once.
22:41You know,
22:43when there was a Barjot movement,
22:45Haryana had entered.
22:47So,
22:49me and all the
22:51players of Haryana
22:53I had one request.
22:55If you want to
22:57make a real change,
22:59do one thing.
23:01The president of Federation
23:03should be someone
23:05who is related to sports.
23:07Now,
23:09that guy,
23:11the owner of Spice Jet,
23:13if I go and tell him
23:15that I am cheating,
23:17how will he accept it?
23:19When the real team
23:21makes a facility,
23:23he can take some favor
23:25from his team.
23:27But if he knows
23:29that he has been cheated
23:31for a long time,
23:33he can see
23:35if he was right
23:37or wrong.
23:39Now, if someone misleads
23:41my president,
23:43I am not blaming him.
23:45I am blaming him.
23:47But he is responsible.
23:49He is the president.
23:51So, he should have
23:53thought about it.
23:55He has a good name.
23:57And,
23:59that's it.
24:01If these things
24:03improve,
24:05I told this to Rahul sir.
24:07I liked one thing of Rahul sir.
24:09He accepted it.
24:11He said, let's make it.
24:13If we make it,
24:15then either you
24:17try it.
24:19There are many things.
24:21So, he also accepted it.
24:23And after that,
24:25we talked a lot.
24:27Let's see,
24:29till when there will be changes in India.
24:31If the president of Fanderson
24:33is a good player,
24:35who can understand
24:37the feeling of the players,
24:39who can understand
24:41what you get in a hostel,
24:43what should happen,
24:45let's keep that in mind.
24:47Now, I like one person.
24:49He is my senior.
24:51He is with the Indian Olympic Association.
24:53He is Om Prakash.
24:55If you hear his name,
24:57he is a short holder.
24:59He is very intelligent.
25:01He is a very good player.
25:03He is a very good speaker.
25:05I think,
25:07he is a superman.
25:09Because,
25:11when it comes to diet,
25:13a lot of people take a stand.
25:15And you know,
25:17when you are in a sport and you have to take a stand,
25:19and you are at a good peak,
25:21then it can be risky for you.
25:23But those people take it.
25:25So, even today,
25:27if a person is at a good position in the IAA,
25:29and has to be represented by the athletes,
25:31then I am definitely sure,
25:33he is going to be a change
25:35for the athletes.
25:37Like we talked about the federation,
25:39the same thing is happening in the tennis federation.
25:41Because,
25:43the federation,
25:45the president,
25:47they have to play to a certain level.
25:49Only then, they will understand,
25:51what a player needs.
25:53If someone has not played that sport,
25:55even if it is a different sport,
25:57then how will they know,
25:59what diet is,
26:01what training is.
26:03Like in boxing,
26:05if someone wins with points,
26:07how will they know,
26:09which box is better.
26:13So, all these things,
26:15it is a matter of common sense.
26:17If you really think very,
26:21in a common way,
26:23in sports,
26:25sportsmen are needed.
26:27Absolutely.
26:29When I,
26:31used to do boxing,
26:33sorry,
26:35used to do amateur boxing,
26:37I still have it.
26:39I used to like listening to my seniors,
26:41their names.
26:43I used to like to know about their qualities.
26:45So, I used to
26:47inquire a lot,
26:49how they used to play.
26:51So, we have seen Mr. Devrajan,
26:53my seniors, in the selection committee.
26:55And I used to like
26:57to know about them from my seniors.
26:59So, I used to praise my seniors.
27:01Devrajan's one-two is good,
27:03Vijendra's right punch is good,
27:05Akhil's movements are good.
27:07So,
27:09the seniors stay alive
27:11and there is a respect for them.
27:13And I would like
27:15that my seniors
27:19will always be
27:21respected for me
27:23and will always be
27:25respectable for me.
27:27Because I,
27:29after seeing them,
27:31I have seen them
27:33in the coaching line,
27:35I have never been under their coaching,
27:37unfortunately.
27:39But I have heard that
27:41they used to hit a left-right sharp
27:43on Suhi's nock.
27:45It was such a good reaction.
27:47And then,
27:49like,
27:51you may have heard
27:53their old names,
27:55but I have seen them,
27:57they had very good movements.
27:59So, when you
28:01get to know them,
28:03you either
28:05respect them a lot
28:07or you
28:09want to be like them.
28:11Or you
28:13want to know a lot about boxing.
28:15So,
28:17I have learned from the seniors
28:19to respect each other
28:21and do your hard work.
28:23Whatever they like
28:25from the seniors,
28:27try it in your games.
28:29So, I would like to say
28:31to all the youth,
28:33do respect your seniors.
28:35Because,
28:37your performance is today,
28:39it won't be tomorrow,
28:41it won't be day after tomorrow.
28:43But the respect for your seniors
28:45will keep you
28:47in a relationship.
28:49In the future,
28:51they will take your name and you will take theirs.
28:53So, it is my duty
28:55to let the youth boxers know
28:57that I have taken their names
28:59in your interview.
29:01And in the future,
29:03they should take the name of their seniors.
29:05So that they become a chain.
29:07So that everyone can learn from someone.
29:09True, true.
29:11You are right.
29:13So, Mandeep,
29:15as we all know that
29:17boxing is a sport
29:19in which you can't just hit.
29:21You have to get hit as well.
29:23So, how did you choose
29:25this sport?
29:27Did your parents accept
29:29that you want to become a boxer?
29:31When you told them that
29:33you want to become a boxer,
29:35how was the acceptance
29:37and support initially?
29:39Let me tell you that
29:41my family
29:43belongs to a village
29:45which is at the border
29:47of Rajasthan and Punjab.
29:49There was drug addiction at the border.
29:51At the Rajasthan border,
29:53there were people who were studying
29:55and there was a sports center.
29:57I am from Haryana.
29:59I am from the last part of Haryana.
30:01So, you must have heard of
30:03Sisar district.
30:07Dushyant Chautala,
30:09Govind Singh Kanda,
30:11Gopal Singh Kanda.
30:13Is this near your house?
30:15No, sir.
30:17If you go straight from Delhi,
30:19you will see
30:21Dushyant Chautala, Sisar,
30:23Fatehabad, Sisar,
30:25and the next
30:27street is Sisar.
30:29Okay.
30:31Because all the boxers
30:33of Haryana are from Bhiwani.
30:35Yes.
30:37Bhiwani was a culture there.
30:39There was Kashyap
30:41and boxing was very popular there.
30:43So, everyone wanted to become a boxer.
30:47So, I am from Sisar.
30:49My family was from Sisar.
30:51But,
30:53when I was about to start,
30:55there was not much
30:57about sports.
30:59I was told to study,
31:01but my parents
31:03denied me.
31:05My mother complained
31:07that I went to the stadium
31:09when I was young
31:11and there was a highway.
31:13I had to cross it.
31:15They were scared.
31:17Like,
31:19we play cricket in the streets.
31:21They thought, why do you play like that?
31:23Yes, we will play like that.
31:25So, they complained
31:27and my father got injured.
31:29Okay.
31:31So, they blackmailed me.
31:33You had to get beaten up in boxing.
31:35You got beaten up when you were young.
31:37I had to get beaten up for boxing.
31:39So, yeah.
31:41I did an emotional drama.
31:43In the next class,
31:45they asked me to watch it again.
31:47My father said,
31:49watch it again.
31:51I got good marks.
31:53I didn't get first, but I got third.
31:55So, the next day,
31:57I picked up the cycle and left.
31:59Then, my mother complained
32:01that I went to the stadium without telling her.
32:03Then, I did the same emotional blackmail.
32:05You are ignoring your words.
32:07I used to watch movies.
32:11I used to watch movies
32:13because I had that drama in me.
32:15So,
32:17my father ignored me.
32:19He said,
32:21I don't trust you.
32:23My father laughed a little.
32:25Then, I said, okay.
32:27I will do whatever I want.
32:29I wanted to continue my studies.
32:31I wanted to continue my studies.
32:33Then,
32:35after a year,
32:37he saw the news in the newspaper.
32:39He said,
32:41what are you doing?
32:43Yes, he saw the news in the newspaper.
32:45So,
32:47he allowed me to continue my studies.
32:49Then,
32:51I got a medal in the state.
32:53Then,
32:55I didn't get a national title for many years.
32:57I was a state champion.
32:59I was sad about it.
33:01But, I kept working hard.
33:03This life took a lot of tests from me.
33:05Then, after 8-9 years,
33:07I got a national title.
33:09I played in the national team.
33:11I got a medal in the national team.
33:13No, not in the national team.
33:15I was over-raised in the national team.
33:17Okay.
33:19Then, I said,
33:21I will play in the senior team.
33:23I said this too.
33:25I didn't play in the national team.
33:27I played in the senior team.
33:29I didn't play in the senior team.
33:31Then,
33:33I performed well in the senior team.
33:35I won the silver medal.
33:37That was the final.
33:39You know, because of the trophy.
33:41You had to play in the senior team at such a young age.
33:43I was defeated by Dhruv.
33:45Dhruv did the match.
33:47Okay.
33:49He was the co-coach of the railway.
33:51He said,
33:53we will give you the job.
33:55Don't worry.
33:57We got to know that he was beating our railway.
33:59We knew that he was giving us a lot of challenges.
34:01So, we took him.
34:03He represented us.
34:05So, we took him.
34:07Then, I played in the railway.
34:09I won the gold medal for the railway.
34:11Then,
34:13I went to the Asian Championship.
34:15So,
34:17I was lucky.
34:19But,
34:21I was patient.
34:23But,
34:25I am happy that I got the job.
34:27Because,
34:29in my life,
34:31there were a lot of boxers.
34:33There were a lot of injuries.
34:37There are a lot of reasons.
34:39That's why,
34:41I consider myself blessed.
34:43I should be dispassionate.
34:47But,
34:49I have a lot of expectations.
34:51I should enjoy what I have.
34:53Absolutely.
34:55Root for you.
34:57And,
34:59your coach,
35:01in fact,
35:03he used to sit in your corner.
35:05In your bouts.
35:07The great Rajwan Junior.
35:09He is considered a legend in professional boxing.
35:11Because,
35:13he has been a champion in 4 different weight categories.
35:15Professional boxing.
35:17Before that, he was a silver medalist in amateur boxing in Olympics.
35:21You saw, he was not a silver medalist in Olympics.
35:23He was a gold medalist.
35:25Okay.
35:27That's the problem in amateur boxing.
35:29He has been doing it for a long time.
35:31Correct.
35:35That only made him stronger.
35:37That's why,
35:39he showed it in professional boxing.
35:41So,
35:43you must have learnt a lot from him.
35:45Experience wise,
35:47technique wise.
35:49And also,
35:51when he sits in your corner,
35:53your confidence is very high.
35:55You can see, I don't sit in his corner.
35:57In 12 rounds,
35:59I sit in rest.
36:01I don't sit in his corner.
36:03Because, he is in my back.
36:05It makes me build up.
36:07Like, okay, Roy is standing.
36:09Then, what should I do?
36:11You know,
36:13one thing Roy is very good at.
36:17When Roy gets an offer for a fight,
36:19he is a boxer.
36:21I never ever look at him.
36:23Then, he said,
36:25you guys check it.
36:27I said, you believe me?
36:29He said, yeah.
36:31Then, Roy is believing me.
36:33So, how could I doubt myself?
36:35No.
36:37Roy is believing me.
36:39So, I am 100% sure.
36:41He said, okay, let's do it.
36:43I said, okay.
36:45So, he tried to do like,
36:475 times.
36:49I did it like that.
36:51When I meet somebody,
36:53I have an Indian boxer.
36:55If you heard that in Netflix fight,
36:57Dilip won.
36:59I was about to ask that question.
37:01Paul vs Mike Tyson's main card,
37:03Neeraj.
37:05So, Neeraj's fight,
37:07there was an announcement.
37:09He said,
37:11I have a batter named Dilip Jangra,
37:13who has recently won
37:15WBO world title.
37:17He is the first Indian
37:19world champion.
37:21So, it was a pleasure.
37:23It was a proud moment.
37:25Coming on live Netflix.
37:27When you are asked in the
37:29presentation, it's fine.
37:31But, when you are asked in the back,
37:33you are blessed.
37:35So,
37:37I didn't have a fight there.
37:39But, if I had a jigger,
37:41it would have been a big deal.
37:43Yeah.
37:45I always appreciate that.
37:49So, you have already shared that.
37:51The main card.
37:53Your title bout,
37:55within 2-3 days,
37:57Mike Tyson vs
37:59Jake Paul's
38:01parallel boxing,
38:03professional boxing,
38:05happened.
38:07Obviously,
38:09your boxing was very serious.
38:11So, there are two opinions.
38:13One opinion is,
38:15Mike Tyson,
38:17obviously,
38:19he is my favorite boxer.
38:21He is like a grandfather.
38:23He fought somebody,
38:25Jake Paul, who was also initially
38:27a YouTube boxer. Obviously, now he is
38:29better, definitely.
38:31He was beaten a lot in 58 years.
38:33A lot of people say that he was scripted.
38:35But, at the same time,
38:37a lot of people say that
38:39because of that, boxing is also getting
38:41promotion because it got a lot of
38:43views on Netflix.
38:45So, what is your opinion?
38:47Is it helping boxing, such parallel boxing
38:49situations or is it downgrading
38:51boxing? Because, I personally
38:53felt bad because Mike Tyson
38:55was beaten a lot in 58 years.
38:59Right now, what is going on?
39:01You know, who have fans following,
39:03they don't want to be any
39:05real boxer.
39:07Before the Tyson fight,
39:09you have seen that two girls, they are real fighters.
39:11They are real fighters.
39:13And,
39:15I really appreciate that
39:17these girls did an amazing job.
39:21My mother never ever
39:23wanted to watch a boxing fight.
39:25She is interested. Oh, come on,
39:27come on, come on. She is doing like that.
39:29So, I feel like, yeah,
39:31this is the real fight.
39:33And, that is like
39:35matchmaking, you know.
39:37He wants to grab the name of Tyson.
39:39And, he wants to bring
39:41him back in the ring.
39:43And, he wants to do.
39:45So, these are the things totally different.
39:47You know, these are not the boxing.
39:49These are the
39:51who want to be seen back
39:53to the ring.
39:55To Tyson in the ring.
39:57That's the thing.
39:59Like,
40:01you guys want to see Tyson at this age.
40:03Yes.
40:05Correct.
40:07Tyson, how can he be?
40:09He is 58 years old.
40:11And,
40:13a 27-year-old boy,
40:15his weight must be above.
40:17So,
40:19how can he not win?
40:21I can understand.
40:23But,
40:25Jack Paul is a good planner.
40:27Yes, he is a good planner.
40:29He is a businessman.
40:31He is a good businessman.
40:33He is a good businessman.
40:35And, his promotions
40:37and all is very good.
40:39But, he is giving chance to some
40:41boxers.
40:43Yes.
40:45These two girls.
40:47Correct.
40:49Barrio, Barrio.
40:51He did a good fight.
40:53And, I am sorry to say but
40:55I didn't like that fight.
40:57Which one you think about?
40:59That last fight.
41:01Maybe you guys feel shame about that.
41:03Because, that thing is not
41:05represent our Indian boxers.
41:07We have lot of better boxers.
41:09Not only me, but
41:11Sukhdeep, I want to say Sukhdeep
41:13and
41:15Anwar.
41:17One guy
41:19from Dubai.
41:21So, these guys are also
41:23doing very good.
41:25But, when somebody
41:27in a big platform like that type
41:29of guy who representing
41:31your country and doing shit like that
41:33with debut guys.
41:35So,
41:37you know what is going on.
41:39And, I really don't want to
41:41talk about it. So, leave it.
41:43And, yeah.
41:45This is a good thing
41:47that Tyson is back. So, Tyson
41:49gives somebody like who thought
41:51they are old, right?
41:53They also been now trying to bang.
41:55Yes, they get motivated.
41:57Tyson, like
41:59I am not saying
42:01surely, but
42:03you can see after some time.
42:05So, he will be back too.
42:07Yeah.
42:09And, I did fight in Roycard too.
42:11In
42:132021, maybe
42:152022.
42:17We did a fight with MMA guy.
42:19Showman
42:21Padish or something like that.
42:23Anthony Padish?
42:25Yeah.
42:27Anthony Padish.
42:29Anthony Padish, no. Showman
42:31Show Padish.
42:33I also watch UFC a lot.
42:35Okay. So, he is a world champion.
42:37Okay.
42:39Shogun?
42:41Showman. Okay.
42:43Showman Padish
42:45or something like that.
42:47Don't have it.
42:49Just give me
42:51a second.
42:53Jake Paul also defeated
42:55some old retired fighters.
42:59Like Anderson Silva.
43:01After that,
43:03Tyron Woodley.
43:07Yes, sir. No doubt.
43:09He is a really good businessman.
43:11But, who he picked up?
43:13Who have a good fan following?
43:15Now, he
43:17is trying to catch Canelo.
43:19Do you think?
43:21Yeah, Canelo.
43:23He can bring
43:25Canelo?
43:27No.
43:29Obviously, Canelo
43:31is not a competition
43:33for Jake Paul.
43:35But, because of the business,
43:37because of the pay-per-views,
43:39he can do exhibition match.
43:41Now, think about it.
43:43He is a businessman like that.
43:45Absolutely.
43:49I know Anthony Padish.
43:51Roy Jones
43:53was Padish.
43:55Okay.
43:57I have a poster.
43:59Oh.
44:03Roy Jones.
44:09I hope you
44:11don't find it.
44:13And Roy was
44:15in my corner before.
44:17Anthony Padish.
44:19Did you say Anthony?
44:21Roy Jones Jr. vs. Anthony Padish.
44:23I followed him before.
44:25Yeah.
44:27So, his fight was there.
44:29Roy was in my corner.
44:31Okay.
44:33After that, he went himself.
44:35He got ready.
44:37You talk about
44:39you create a history.
44:41So, how you create?
44:43You fight for title?
44:45No.
44:47You fight everywhere.
44:49He did a creative history.
44:51What type of history?
44:53You fight with debut guy
44:55and you fight.
44:57So, those rumors
44:59make a worse thing in India right now.
45:01Yeah.
45:03Who really need a sport in boxing?
45:05These guys
45:07never get chance.
45:09Because,
45:11if you perform
45:13like that and you represent your country,
45:15if you do like this type of shit,
45:17nobody gonna believe in Indian boxers.
45:19Everybody thought
45:21they are
45:23like shit.
45:25So, let's look for others.
45:27So, we didn't get good promoter.
45:31Right?
45:33This is my thing.
45:35What I thought about that.
45:37But, yeah.
45:39Jackal is doing good.
45:41He is doing good business.
45:43Yeah, definitely.
45:45But, yeah.
45:47I appreciate that he is a YouTuber
45:49and he is doing that type of shit.
45:51That type of shit.
45:55Now, let's talk about your weight category.
45:57You have won this
45:59in super featherweight
46:01category.
46:03Before that, you have played
46:05in different category.
46:07So, is this your natural weight
46:09or you had to cut weight?
46:11How is it?
46:13Are you comfortable with this?
46:15How is it?
46:17When I was playing
46:19in 75 kg category,
46:21it was 78 kg.
46:23I don't have knowledge.
46:25I don't believe.
46:27I have old school mentality.
46:29So, I
46:31did what I wanted to do.
46:33I even reduced my muscle mass.
46:35I did that wrong.
46:37But, after that
46:39I maintained myself.
46:41Now, the professional boxers
46:43who do 15 or 20 pounds
46:45down,
46:47before the fight,
46:49I do 10 or 15 pounds down.
46:51So, it's not a big deal.
46:53Now,
46:55one week ago,
46:57I stopped eating.
46:59But, before that,
47:01one or two days ago,
47:03I started to lose weight.
47:05I squeezed myself.
47:07I couldn't feel my power in the fight.
47:09But, in the last fight,
47:11I did better.
47:13But, it was probably
47:15the best.
47:17But, I felt power in the last fight.
47:19So, when I'm
47:21going to work on that fight,
47:23I feel better.
47:25So,
47:27weight reduce,
47:29pro kite,
47:31there is another event in which
47:33I fight.
47:35That's it.
47:39Great! What a journey!
47:43Any rapid fire questions
47:45for you?
47:47Journey?
47:49Someday, I'll tell the writers.
47:51Journey is very tough.
47:53It's nice to hear that.
47:55And,
47:57I hope, soon,
47:59something will be released about the journey.
48:01I hope,
48:03everyone,
48:05whether it's a movie or something,
48:07must read it.
48:09You'll get to learn a lot.
48:11Yes.
48:15Sweet struggles.
48:17You can say anything.
48:21They say, I've seen hell.
48:23What's hell? I haven't seen it.
48:25I haven't seen it.
48:27When I was losing weight,
48:29I used to train twice a day
48:31and wear a sweatsuit.
48:33And, you just take a piece of chicken
48:35and eat it.
48:37I used to wear it for 2 years.
48:39Since 1978,
48:41I've lost so much weight.
48:43So,
48:45check the Guinness Book of World Records.
48:47I'll try to win
48:49the Guinness Book.
48:51If I win,
48:53I'll be the first in the world.
48:55Nobody did that.
48:59So,
49:01yeah, this is the thing.
49:03Like, hell for me.
49:09You know,
49:11when you reach a certain level,
49:13you fall down.
49:15It's like,
49:17it's
49:19unexpectable.
49:21Right?
49:23So, it's
49:25unexpectable.
49:27You can't tolerate it.
49:29And, you must have seen
49:31Bollywood actors
49:33doing that.
49:35That's the situation.
49:37I've dealt with that situation.
49:39So, this is the best deal for me.
49:41Why?
49:43After that, I realized that
49:45if you keep yourself down,
49:47even if you lose your performance,
49:49whenever you get up and down
49:51in your life,
49:53you're stuck.
49:55No one can hurt you.
49:57No one can demoralize you.
49:59You're already demoralized.
50:01So, this is the
50:03lesson I've learnt.
50:05And, whatever
50:07cheating happens to you,
50:09have faith in yourself.
50:11That day will definitely come.
50:13When you...
50:15You don't have to show it to people.
50:17Styling work
50:19is very important.
50:21You're a master in yourself.
50:23Whatever happens, it's okay.
50:25Even if it doesn't happen, it's okay.
50:27But, when you ask yourself
50:29whether you've given your best
50:31in K-League.
50:33That is most important.
50:35All those things.
50:37True.
50:39Great.
50:41Let's have some rapid fire questions for you.
50:43Okay.
50:45You're from Haryana, obviously.
50:47Even though,
50:49your birthplace is different.
50:51No, no.
50:53I'm from Haryana.
50:55Okay.
50:57So, your favorite Haryanvi
50:59slang?
51:01If it's censored,
51:03then it's okay.
51:05No.
51:07I don't use Haryanvi that much.
51:09In my house,
51:11there's a place called Bagri.
51:13Okay.
51:15It's called Rajasthan.
51:17So, Haryanvi...
51:19I'm from Rajasthan.
51:21That's where I learned Haryanvi.
51:23So,
51:25the best slang word
51:27in Haryanvi is Ratchore.
51:29Okay.
51:31What did you say?
51:33Ratchore.
51:35Okay.
51:37That is your favorite.
51:39Yes.
51:41Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson
51:43are different generation boxers.
51:45But, suppose,
51:47in a hypothetical situation,
51:49if there's a fight,
51:51who will you go to?
51:53Muhammad Ali.
51:55Okay.
51:57Great.
51:59If you have to call out
52:01someone from the medium,
52:03a boxer,
52:05through this medium,
52:07is there anyone in your mind
52:09for a call-out?
52:11A call-out for a bout?
52:13Call-out...
52:15If you say,
52:17I'll go for Akshay Kumar.
52:19Because he's a...
52:21He's a...
52:23He's a boxer.
52:25He's a martial arts player.
52:27Okay.
52:29We'll call out Akshay Kumar.
52:31Okay.
52:35Mandeep Jangda, obviously,
52:37you're already a champion.
52:39You know, you're the current champion
52:41in your respective weight category.
52:43Five years down the line,
52:45where do you see yourself?
52:47Right now, there are different
52:49world boxing federations.
52:51So, five years down the line,
52:53where do you see yourself
52:55in terms of your boxing career?
52:59I want to see myself
53:01as a WBC
53:03world's
53:05number one man.
53:07Wow.
53:09Great.
53:11So,
53:13you're in the weight category
53:15right now?
53:17Yes, right now.
53:19This is your perfect weight category.
53:21Great.
53:23If I get some good muscles,
53:25I'll obviously grow up.
53:27Great.
53:29You're already doing so well,
53:31so I don't think
53:33there's a need to change.
53:35Obviously, I don't want to change.
53:37There's no need.
53:39Your favorite boxer?
53:41My favorite boxer is Roy Jones.

54:17I don't know where
54:19I got it from.
54:21Except
54:23there's always something
54:25different.
54:27Great.
54:29If you have to make a movie
54:31under your name,
54:33which actor would you choose?
