02:56people during the 45th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council held in Kuwait.
03:00In an official statement, the GCC leaders underscored their strong support for the Palestinian
03:05cause and its sovereignty over all Palestinian territories occupied since June 1967.
03:11They further urged for the establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem
03:16as its capital.
03:17In this regard, the Council's Secretary-General Yassin al-Boudaoui stressed the need for the
03:21international community to take steps on working comprehensively to achieve an immediate and
03:26permanent ceasefire.
03:33The Supreme Council called for an end to the killings and collective punishment in Gaza,
03:38the displacement of the population, and the destruction of civilian facilities and infrastructure,
03:43including health facilities, schools, and places of worship, in clear violation of international
03:48law and international humanitarian law.
03:51The Council urged for meddling in to safeguard civilians, stop the war, and sponsor serious
03:56negotiations to reach sustainable solutions.
04:01Likewise, the leader of the Gulf Cooperation Council condemned the constant Israeli aggressions
04:06toward Lebanon.
04:11The leaders of the GCC countries condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression toward Lebanon
04:15and warned against the aftermaths of keeping up and broadening the conflict, which will
04:19lead to dire consequences for the regional peoples and international peace and security.
04:28In addition, the Secretary-General praised the temporary ceasefire agreement in Lebanon
04:31expressing his will for this to be a step closer to the end of the conflict.
04:40The Supreme Council welcomed the temporary ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, and the entity
04:44looked forward to it being a step toward stopping the war, the withdrawal of Israel from Lebanese
04:49territory, the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701, and the return of
04:54the displaced and immigrants to their homes.
04:56The leaders expressed their full solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people, recalling
05:01the efforts of the State of Kuwait and the GCC initiative on Lebanon.
