00:00Dr. Chow, we all saw the nasty hit by Aziz al-Shair for Houston and the response from
00:06Trevor Lawrence. What is the process now for Trevor Lawrence in his return to the football field?
00:13Well, you know, Trevor Lawrence is reportedly, quote, okay, look, it's very scary. Anytime you
00:19have a concussion, especially once you see that, quote, posturing or fencing,
00:23the TUA-like thing that everyone worries about. But that phenomenon does not mean permanent
00:31damage. That phenomenon does not necessarily mean long-term injury. It is Trevor Lawrence's
00:38second documented concussion in his career. They got to be careful with it, but it looks very,
00:44very scary. I'm glad early reports are that he seems okay. And then the next shooter drop is,
00:50is al-Shair going to be suspended? Look, I get it. There's no question it was a late hit,
00:57late slide or not, it was a penalty hit. And yes, there is some contact with the chin,
01:02although most of it is with the shoulder back. If you slow down the video that we showed,
01:07the damage is done to Trevor Lawrence in the concussion when his head slams back on the turf,
01:13not the hit itself. I'm not sure that fine point is going to be seen by 345 Park Avenue.
01:19I think he's probably going to get suspended. But if you break it down, I just don't want people
01:24to hate on him for being completely dirty. Many hits to the head are not suspended. This one is
01:31likely to be because it's a quarterback, it's a quarterback league, and the NFL wants to protect
01:37its players, its star players, rightfully so. But this one got a lot of attention because of
01:43the head hitting the ground.
