00:00The Christmas tree in Malacanang was lit up and it was led by President Bongbong Marcos.

00:05At the same time, the President called again to remember and help our countrymen who were affected by the typhoons.

00:17In the beginning of December, President Bongbong Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos and her family

00:27were the first to light up the Christmas tree in Kalayaan Grounds in Malacanang this past Sunday night.

00:38The Christmas tree was lit up by high school students from the public schools in various parts of the country.

00:47President Marcos and First Lady Liza and Deputy Secretary Sunny Angara

00:53were the three winners of the parole-making contest with the theme,

00:58Isang Lituwin, Isang Mithiin by the Office of the President, Office of the Social Secretary, and Department of Education.

01:05148 paroles were made by students from various public secondary schools who participated in the competition.

01:13At the President's message, he called again to every Filipino

01:18to remember our countrymen who were deeply affected by the typhoons that hit the country.

01:24My Christmas wish is that despite everything, that every Filipino should feel somehow Christmas.

01:36Because after all, no matter how many typhoons they throw at us, no matter how many problems are thrown at us,

01:43there's nothing that will quench the Christmas spirit in the Filipino heart.

01:48And every child, man, woman, Filipino, you can't take that away from the Philippines.

01:56And rightly so. We all deserve Christmas. It's been a tough year.
