00:00I've never in my life seen hooves that bad.

00:04Stella was completely overgrown with her feet.
00:07We're gonna get you fixed up, sweetie.
00:10She was living in a paddock that was all mud with other two horses.
00:16You could tell that she hadn't been brushed.
00:19She couldn't even walk properly because the hooves would bang into themselves and bang into her legs.
00:25It broke my heart completely.
00:33She was very, very spicy.
00:36I knew that farrier work for Stella was going to be very traumatic.
00:40So we did everything very carefully to make sure we weren't going to go where she would be really uncomfortable.
00:45That first session took two hours.
00:56We were very fortunate that while they were very, very long and curled, there was not very much deformation.

01:16After a few steps, she starts to lower her feet and walk more normally.
01:20It was really incredible. We all started crying.

01:30She realized, oh, all that weight is gone off of my legs.

01:37She was a totally new horse.
01:41She is so trusting now.
01:43It's okay, I know. You're going to be happy.
01:47I'm just happy that Stella has a happy home and I hope that I can be her home for the rest of her life.
