00:07to give Christmas gifts to children in the facility.

00:11The details of the news were reported by Saya Mira Fuentes of PTV.

00:18This child is 16 years old and we will hide her name as Princess.

00:23At her first age, she experienced the use of illegal drugs.

00:28Last year, she was arrested.

00:31I have a problem because of my family, that's why I was involved in drugs.

00:36Her parents separated and her mother married another man.

00:42But in her mother's new husband, she will taste the bitter part of her life.

00:49She is always being shouted at and said painful words.

00:54I was being beaten by my mother.

00:59She told me that we can't live without her and we can't go to school.

01:05That's why I decided to rebel.

01:08She is one of the children visited by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

01:13President visited the Marilac Hills and the Haven National Center for Women in Montinlupas.

01:19These are the homes of young women who experienced abuse

01:25and some of them committed adultery at their young age.

01:30I am a senator and a civilian.

01:34I come here because when I come here, I am always being shouted at.

01:39She gave Christmas gifts so that the children's sadness can be alleviated.

01:47When I came here, I really felt Christmas.

01:52I can see it on your faces.

01:55When the President arrived, the children danced and sang.

01:59The Marilac Hills was built during the time of the President,

02:03former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

02:06This is a project of his mother, former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos.

02:12We are happy because when the President looks at the poor,

02:20especially the children who are abandoned,

02:24it means that he is a good person, right?

02:26The President started visiting the area in 2017.

02:30Every year, aside from the pandemic, he gives gifts to the children.

02:35In his message, the President reminded us

02:38that Christmas continues despite the trials we are going through.

02:43Even if we are hit by a typhoon,

02:47even if we are burned in different places,

02:51no matter what, let us all, all of us,

02:56all Filipinos, especially the children,

03:03should be able to feel Christmas.

03:07The Filipino Christmas will not be stopped by anything,

03:10and there will be no defeat in the Christmas of the Philippines.
