00:00Aside from the issue of the spending of confidential funds in 2022 of the Office of the Vice President,
00:07the annual audit report of the Commission on Audit revealed that the value of the CONFIFUNDS spent by the OVP tripled last year.
00:18Sandra Aguinaldo was able to prove it.
00:20If in 2022, the Commission on Audit prioritized the spending of the Office of the Vice President of its confidential fund,
00:32the annual audit report of the COA for 2023 revealed that it tripled the following year.
00:39If compared, Vice President Sara Duterte spent P125 million in confidential funds in just 11 days of 2022.
00:50The following year, it tripled to P375 million for the entire year of 2023.
00:57According to the COA report, the confidential expenses are for the safe implementation of various projects and activities
01:05under the Good Governance Program, Socioeconomic Program Delivery, and official engagements or joining international and domestic events under the orders of the President.
01:16Also based on the COA report, the expenses for domestic and international travel of the Office of the Vice President increased.
01:23In 2022, it was spent at P20.11 million, which is equivalent to the amount shared by former Vice President Leni Robredo and current Vice President Sara Duterte.
01:35By the end of 2023, when VP Sara was already in charge for the entire year, the travel expenses tripled to P42.58 million.
01:45The amount of assistance shared by the OVP also increased.
01:49In the computation of the GMA Integrated News Research, it is equivalent to P1.28 billion for the assistance, subsidies, and welfare goods of 2023.

02:02According to the COA, welfare goods are relief goods and food boxes that are given to those in need such as victims of calamity.
02:11As for the expenses of the OVP, the Medical Burial Assistance, Hospitals for Medical Assistance Program, and Medical Physical Examination of OVP Employees and Personnel.
02:22But the COA observed something in the distribution of welfare goods.
02:26It is not clear if these will be distributed due to the lack of guidelines and procedures and control measures of the OVP.
02:35In Davao Satellite Office of VP Sara, there is a lack of inventory such as food items that are about to expire but are not yet distributed, food items in an unventilated shipping container, and others.
02:50According to the report, the OVP used its funds for the socio-economic program delivery.
02:57The accomplishments of the OVP are higher than the target.
