Jose Mourinho aggressively dragged his assistant manager away from celebrating Fenerbahce players, after a late goal saw them take the lead, in their 3-1 victory on Monday evening.

The 'special one' is known for his animated dugout antics. He was at the center of another viral moment when he stepped in to remind his assistant of his responsibilities following Rodrigo Becao's 78th-minute strike.

Becao helped Fenerbahce retake the lead before former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko scored in the 89th minute to seal victory against Gaziantep. This move moves Mourinho's side up to second in the Turkish Super Lig standings while also reducing the deficit to leaders Galatasaray to just three points.

Since making a shock move to the Turkish club during the summer, Mourinho has endured several controversial moments. He refused to get caught up in celebrations during his team's latest win.

As Becao joined others celebrating in front of the dugout, Mourinho's assistant, Zeki Murat Gole, attempted to jump into the midst of the group only to be unceremoniously hauled back to the technical area.

The Portuguese chief wasn't messing around as he grabbed the hood of Gole's jacket and pulled him by the neck away from the players and back to his side before going on to issue instructions.

Gole appeared momentarily surprised by Mourinho's actions but quickly regained composure as the former Chelsea and Man United boss went about trying to make a substitution.

Mourinho had wanted to make a defensive change after Becao's strike re-established Fenerbahce's lead and was annoyed that his assistant wasn't immediately available to begin going through tactics.

He eventually did manage to make the substitution with defender Mert Mulder coming on to replace former Southampton star Dusan Tadic with just 10 minutes remaining in the league clash.

However, Mourinho's reprimand of his assistant has since gone viral on social media with fans split in their opinions on whether the 61-year-old was right to be so aggressive.

'Classic Jose. Love him,' said one supporter on X as they laughed at the veteran manager's latest touchline tiff.

Another similar comment posted on social media similarly joked 'Someone please bring this maniac back to the Premier League.'

However, one critic didn't share the same viewpoint and instead fumed 'So disrespectful…. Why would any manager put up with this behavior.'

Meanwhile, Mourinho will be hoping he doesn't need to intervene again on Saturday when his side travel to face Besiktas in a massive Turkish Super Lig contest.
