Knowing that at some point Todd's family owned an Amiga 500, the way I remembered this scene, it was Todd Landers (played by Kristian Schmid) doing the hacking to change his own grades, not his friend Josh Anderson (played by Jeremy Angerson). Also, not with an older, 8-bit Commodore 64, but the more advanced 16-bit Amiga 500, released in 1987.

Apparently, Josh later received an Amiga 500 as a birthday gift and hacking cropped up several more times in future storylines involving switching school grades, meddling with the computer at Lassiters, banking and so on.

Snagged from episode 1156, original Aussie air date, 12/03/90, so quite late in the day to still be tinkering with circa 1982 computer technology.

This is essentially the aftermath of the misguided incident. I realised afterwards that I did in fact have an earlier episode in which the actual 'hacking' took place.
