00:00RSS Persistent and RSS Endurance, we are here to conduct Exercise Trident, which is a bilat
00:24exercise between the SAF and ADF, the Australian Defence Force.
00:27We are here to exercise our ship-to-shore capabilities comprising of Air Force, the Navy
00:35and of course our Army counterparts. So we are here because of the realistic environment
00:42that hones our skills and also more importantly the expanse of the space to exercise our
00:47air, land, sea counterparts. The importance of this training is called WADER, wet and dry rehearsal.
00:53This is an opportunity for us to build our confidence. It's our first time over here in
00:58these waters so we want our soldiers to be familiarised with the usage of the FCU, the
01:04fast craft utility and then experiencing the choppy waters of the shore water bay to build
01:11the confidence and the competence so that we can deliver the exercise in a safe and secure manner.
01:17My role in this Trident itself, I do the mission planning, coordinating the requirements.
01:24Thereafter, I'll be flying the mission itself. After landing, we'll do a debrief to sieve out
01:30the lessons and see how we can further improve on the subsequent missions. This year we also
01:37commemorate the completion of an expansion in the shore water bay training area and this means that
01:44for the future is that we could plan even bigger scale things and more complex exercises.
