00:00The National Maritime Council has condemned the Chinese Coast Guard's

00:03bombing and water cannoning of Philippine ships in Bajo de Masinlok.

00:09The Philippine Coast Guard called the Chinese ships' overkill.

00:14This is Ryan Lisigas of PTV in Balitang Pambansa.

00:19We are doing all possible actions that we are allowed to carry out.

00:27Despite of those water cannoning, dangerous maneuver, we're still holding our ground.

00:33President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has arrived with the latest incident of the Chinese ships' harassment

00:39of the Philippine ships in Bajo de Masinlok.

00:42According to the National Maritime Council spokesperson, Undersecretary Alexander Lopez,

00:47the incident was handled by Poonong Hecotibo.

00:50The Philippines reiterates that Bajo de Masinlok is an integral part of the Philippine territory

00:59and has indisputable sovereignty over the high tide feature and its territorial sea.

01:06The National Maritime Council has also condemned the Chinese Coast Guard's

01:09bombing and water cannoning of the BRP Datu Pagbuhaya and BRP Datu Sanday

01:16that would only help the Philippine fishermen in the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.

01:23This is clearly a violation of China's Law of the Sea.

01:27The National Maritime Council condemns the hostile actions against the country's legitimate maritime operations

01:35within its maritime zones.

01:37The aggressive posture of the Chinese vessels highlights a continuing pattern of aggression.

01:44Coercion and intimidation within Philippine waters.

01:49The Philippine Coast Guard called the Chinese ships' overkill.

01:54According to Commodore J. Tariella, Philippine Coast Guard Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea,

02:00five Chinese ships tried to stop the Bephar's humanitarian mission.

02:07At the very first opportunity, the Chinese warship Bephar was already part of the dangerous maneuver.

02:15This happened 19 nautical miles from the Scarborough Shoal.

02:20Despite this, the Philippines has no plans to send the Philippine Navy to the West Philippine Sea

02:26to confront the Chinese greyship.

02:29But this does not show that the country's fate is bleak.

02:33This is not an attempt to continue China's aggression,

02:36but to avoid tension in the West Philippine Sea.

02:42This is just a clear evidence that it is not the Philippines that aggressively deployed our vessel.

02:49The one that is aggressive here, the one that is provocative and escalating tension in Bajo Dimasinlo

02:56are the Chinese Coast Guard vessels.
