00:00The National Maritime Council reaffirmed that the Philippines owns the Bajo de Masidloc.
00:05According to the NMC, the Bajo de Masidloc and Escoda Shoal are still part of the Philippines' Exclusive Economic Zone.
00:13The NMC said that these waters are under the United Nations Convention of the Law of the Sea 2016 Arbitral Award and Philippine Maritime Zones Act.
00:25That is why the Philippines has the right to carry out activities in the so-called seas,
00:31including maritime patrols and humanitarian activities, such as helping Filipino fishermen.
00:38The NMC also condemned any
00:44harassment of Chinese ships by Philippine ships that violate international law and disrespect other countries.
