00:00New news, former Bamban Tanlac Mayor Alice Guo was found not guilty in the case of material misrepresentation that she was charged with by the Commission on Elections.
00:11This is related to the fact that she put her citizenship on the Certificate of Candidacy in the election of 2022.
00:18According to Guo's legal counsel, Atty. Nicole Hamilia, Guo went to the arraignments through a virtual conference.
00:25The Comelec did not object to the hearing.
00:28Atty. Hamilia said that Guo's answer to the case was not guilty because she did not misrepresent the candidate because she is a Filipino citizen.
00:38The so-called case against her client is premature because there is no decision on the immigration cases and cancellation of Guo's live birth certificate.
00:48They plan to appeal for the case.
00:51Guo is now detained in Pasig City Jail for the case of Qualified Human Trafficking.
00:58Let's update on the deportation of almost 200 POGO workers today and the 10 days before the deadline for the total POGO ban.
01:07Let's talk to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission or PAOC Executive Director Gilbert Cruz.
01:11Good morning and welcome to Balitang Hali.
01:14Good morning, Raffy and to the listeners and viewers of our program. Good morning to all of you.
01:21Aside from the 200 POGO workers, are there any more that are scheduled to be deported?
01:25And do you have any idea how many volunteers have left the country?
01:31Tomorrow, we will deport 12 Indonesians.
01:36And then next week, we will deport 43 Chinese.
01:41As to the number of people who were deported or who left our country, there are a lot of POGO workers who left our country, Raffy.
01:59Until now, are you still monitoring the operations of POGO hubs?
02:05As of now, we are still monitoring a lot of POGO hubs.
02:11The older POGO hubs were converted to smaller groups.
02:16Sometimes, they were divided into 2 or 3 groups.
02:20Those are the POGO hubs that we are monitoring.
02:23Most of them are still here in Metro Manila and in our provinces.
02:31Will these hubs be closed before the end of the year?
02:36I don't think others will be closed, but they will still operate guerrilla-style operations.
02:44But since we have monitoring and intel reports, maybe local government units and our national agencies can help.
02:56Some of the reporters' wives and partners are saying that their relatives are not cooperating with the POGOs that were raided.
03:04What can you say about that?
03:07If that is what they are saying, they can say that.
03:17But during the time that their fathers were arrested, or their boyfriends,
03:26they were in the POGO hub operating without documents.
03:32During the time of their arrest, they were considered to have violated immigration laws.
03:39That's why they were included in the deportation.
03:42What are your plans for the children in your custody after the POGO workers' parents left them?
03:50As of now, we are supporting them.
03:54In fact, there was an increase in the number of deportees.
03:59Every time we have a deportation, there are new cases of deportees.
04:06Some of them have children, some of them have girlfriends.
04:10Earlier, there were new cases of deportees.
04:13The previous 15 cases, we might be able to help more.
04:21How long will you be able to help these children?
04:24Maybe until we can.
04:26But we have a coordination with the DSWT.
04:32Maybe we will talk about how to resolve this.
04:37We cannot let this go because we don't want to let this problem go.
04:47Thank you very much for your time this afternoon.
04:52Thank you and good morning.
04:56Thank you, Executive Director Yusec Gilbert Cruz.
05:00Some hidden cities in Davao del Norte witnessed a mysterious light in the sky.
05:07According to some residents, it was seen early in the morning yesterday that lasted for a few minutes.
05:14It was also seen in Agusan del Norte.
05:16Residents thought it was a meteor shower.
05:20But according to the Philippine Space Agency, it was not a meteor shower or of any astronomical origin.
05:26It was just like the previously reported space debris re-entry events
05:31that came from defunct rocket stages or satellites that returned from outer space.
05:37The field said that space debris will not approach if it lands on the ground and the authorities should be alerted.
05:45A live-in partner in Cagayan de Oro City was arrested for selling illegal drugs.
05:52Authorities in Barangay Bulwa arrested the suspects in their home.
05:59They were given more than a kilo of Umanoy Shabu, which is worth more than 6.8 million pesos.
06:06According to the police, there are two other suspects in selling illegal drugs.
06:11They are accused of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act
06:14and are facing suspects who did not give a statement.
06:21Aside from the water cannon and bombing of the China Coast Guard on the B-4 ship near Bajo de Masinlok,
06:28two B-4 ships were also bombed by the CCG in Escoda Shoal.
06:33The latest incidents of harassment are being handled by the United States, the European Union, and other countries.
06:40Let's hear from Chino Gaston.
07:02A new incident of the China Coast Guard's water cannon on the Philippine ship near Bajo de Masinlok in the West Philippine Sea.
07:11From the air, we can see how big the China Coast Guard 3302 is compared to the water cannon of the BRP Datu Pagbuhaya of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
07:23It is part of the Maritime Patrol to support the Filipino fishermen in the area.
07:28As you can see from the video, it is a jet stream water cannon that is really intended to damage the structure and the communication equipment of Datu Pagbuhaya.
07:39A good thing that the B-4 vessel has a seamanship skills to outmaneuver this bigger Coast Guard vessel.
07:49Not just one, but two times the water cannon of the Chinese ship.
07:53And not only was the water bombed, but the BRP Datu Pagbuhaya was also bombed.
08:09Ouch!
08:14The heat! The heat! The heat!
08:16The heat!
08:18The bombing of the two ships, Bala, David, and Gulyat.
08:22According to the Philippine Coast Guard, the two ships of China obstructed and made dangerous maneuvers on their ships.
08:34Including here, one of the ships of the Chinese Navy.
08:37This is actually the first time that we have documented a PLA Navy warship shadowing a Coast Guard vessel in Bajo de Macinlo at a distance of only 300 yards.
08:50But the Chinese version of what happened is different.
08:53According to the Chinese Coast Guard, the Philippine ships are dangerous when approaching the ships of China.
08:59The Philippine ships were ignored by the Chinese and put in danger by one of the CCG vessels.
09:08This is actually an overkill.
09:10Imagine this. Our B-4 vessel is so small compared to this humongous size China Coast Guard vessel.
09:20And they have disregarded the collision regulation intentionally.
09:24Sidesweeping. A smaller B-4 vessel.
09:30Almost at the same time as what happened in Bajo de Macinlo, the Philippine ships near Escoda Shoal were also harassed.
09:38There, the BRP Dato Romapenet along with the CCG ships to help the Filipinos who were being stopped from fishing in the area.
09:47The BRP Dato Bangkaw of B-4 also covered and blocked the way of the ships of the China Coast Guard.
09:54A Chinese warship crossed the area but it did not approach.
09:58According to the National Maritime Council, Bajo de Macinlo is part of the territory of the Philippines.
10:04It is also inside our Exclusive Economic Zone.
10:07Escoda Shoal is also inside our EEZ.
10:10It follows the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, 2016 Arbitral Ruling, and Philippine Maritime Zones Act.
10:17The new law was passed by China because it included the Bajo de Macinlo and Kalayaan Group of Islands in the West Philippine Sea
10:26where they have territories.
10:29We deem it as illegal. They do not have any basis for that.
10:34And if ever they did submit it to the UN, it will still come up with a go-through process.
10:43And we are praying that the National Law, the Provisional Clause will prevail.
10:53The National Maritime Council was asked if this is the time for the Philippines to face the Philippine Navy.
11:00What wants to happen actually is when you put a Navy vessel against a Navy vessel, it will only escalate the tension.
11:07The strategy is always a white ship play because that is the personality of the Coast Guard, Peaceful Police.
11:17But the Navy is on the defense side, so if you put a gray ship against a gray ship, it can escalate the situation.
