00:00The Presidential Communications Office confirmed the gathering in Malacanang last night
00:06with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and several members of the House.
00:10But the PCO clarified that it was a fellowship between the Executive Branch
00:15and a part of the low-ranking members of the Congress
00:18such as House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Majority Floor Leader Manix Dalipe.
00:23According to the PCO, the so-called fellowship has been scheduled for a long time.
00:31The House declared full support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:36by issuing a Manifesto of Support.
00:40Last night, Congressmen personally gave the Manifesto to the President
00:45in a Christmas Fellowship in Malacanang.
00:48Under the Manifesto, the lawmakers made five promises.
00:53One of those promises is to defend the President as a symbol of the sovereignty of the Philippines,
00:59to uphold the rule of law and democratic governance,
01:02to provide protection to the country from internal and external threats,
01:08to promote unity,
01:10and to uphold the President's mandate.
01:15The Manifesto was passed by the leaders of the House,
01:18first by House Speaker Martin Romualdez,
01:21and then by the political party leaders from the lower ranks.
