Former Scotland rugby union captain Stuart Hogg has been given a five-year non-harassment order at Jedburgh Sheriff Court. However, the judge has deferred sentencing of Hogg, 32, on a domestic abuse charge against his estranged wife until 9th January. Hogg, who currently plays for Montpellier in the French Top 14 league, earlier admitted breaching bail conditions by repeatedly contacting Gillian Hogg in June. Report by Jonesia. 00:00Mr Hogg, you have admitted your guilt. Are you prepared to say sorry? You're a convicted
00:11domestic abuser. You haven't yet apologised. Have you shown any remorse?
00:26The report recommends a Caledonian men's programme. But there is a difficulty with that, and that
00:33is the fact that you're non-resident in the United Kingdom. That requires personal attendance,
00:40and therefore, from what I'm told, I can't impose that at the moment. I'm not prepared
00:47to defer matters until March, until there's clarity about whether or not you'll be returning.
00:53So I'm going to defer sentence in respect of that matter to the 9th of January for clarification
01:01as to whether or not I can impose a community order with supervision, which will be monitored
01:05remotely.
01:06Mr Hogg, you have admitted your guilt. You've never shown any remorse. Would you like to
01:07say sorry? Would you like to say sorry, Mr Hogg?
01:08I'm not going to talk to you, I'm not going to talk to you, I'm not going to talk to you.
01:38I'm not going to talk to you, I'm not going to talk to you, I'm not going to talk to you.
