A Malaysian artiste is seeking an apology from the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) officer who allegedly filmed her in secret while she was having a massage at a parlour in SS14.

In an Instagram post, rapper Zamaera also wants MBSJ to issue a statement on the standard operating procedure (SOP) for operations at such establishments, and that they do not condone the actions of its officer.

00:00This time I turned around again fully and this guy was full on filming me with a phone camera
00:07and I couldn't make his face because he was wearing glasses.
00:09So can you imagine like the curtain, they opened it like just this much, had their face there
00:14and had the phone camera with the glasses so I'm covering the bottom half of his face anyway
00:20and like filming me while I'm like half naked.
00:30Okay, this is me, Zamira, I'm a resident of SS14, y'all know who I am.
00:47These guys all came to check and then there was this one guy who opened the...
00:57He's right here and take video, so which one of you is taking video?
01:01Who's taking video?
01:03Who wants to admit?
01:05I'm gonna post this up online, I'm on social, I'm posted up on all the news channels.
01:12Y'all better admit now, who's taking video?
01:18Why are you guys quiet now?
01:20It was a very traumatic experience and I really was trying to handle the situation quite calmly
01:30but I think anytime I'm in a situation where it has to do with a lot of guys against one woman
01:39trying to speak up for herself, it always becomes very emotional I think for me.
01:45So if you've seen a part of the video on my IG story, you can see that I was also kind of a little bit shaky.
01:52Your job is to, what, take care of people, right?
02:10And if you look closely in the footage, you can see all of their faces.
02:14They don't want to say anything, they know that they're guilty, they know that they've done something wrong.
02:19And they don't want to say anything.
02:21And I'm so upset, and I'm trying to calm myself down from screaming
02:25because I tend to get really, really riled up about these kinds of things.
02:29And I said to them in the continuation of the video,
02:34you guys are supposed to be, what, protecting people or doing your job
02:37but in the end you're doing things and that's no-no, you know, which is like disgusting.
02:41And when I said that, there was this one officer on the left of me,
02:46he was wearing glasses.
02:48I don't remember his name, but he was the one who I was communicating with most of the time.
02:52He was wearing glasses and he had his MBSJ baju on but tak ada nametag.
02:57And he said,
02:58siapa yang buat benda-benda tak senonoh?
03:01kat sini buat apa?
03:02And I was like, apa kat sini buat apa?
03:04saya datang sini nak buat massage.
03:06And he said, ah ya, tapi kat sini saya tak tahu kalau ada benda-benda yang lucah ke apa,
03:10yang menjadi benda yang tak senonoh.
03:13And I was like, okay, if that's, you actually want to do an operation,
03:17do you think the SOP is for you to walk in unannounced,
03:20quietly, open the curtains of other female,
03:24um, uh, patients,
03:26patience pula,
03:27but I'm not,
03:28patience, patience,
03:29sorry, my mouth is going off somewhere else.
03:31Um,
03:33apa, pelanggan,
03:34oh, sorry, sorry,
03:35otak tengah jam,
03:36banyak sangat cakap.
03:37So, yeah, you film it,
03:40So, yeah, you're filming like all these female punya pelanggan,
03:43and then without even saying who you are,
03:45that's part of your SOP.
03:46I cakap, ni SOP korang, ni SOP korang.
03:48And he was like, ya, ni SOP kita daripada bos.
03:50And I was like,
03:51bos korang siapa?
03:53Bos korang siapa?
03:54No, seriously, tell me.
04:03I was just so,
04:05I just felt so violated.
04:07You know what I mean?
04:08Like, I hate,
04:09I hate to feel as a woman that I can't feel safe
04:12in my own space or area that I live in.
04:15You know, as you know,
04:16as you guys know,
04:17I've already moved to another place.
04:19I come back,
04:20I want to feel safe in my community.
04:21I want to feel like I'm being protected.
04:23I want to feel like I can use my voice that,
04:26you know, I'm being,
04:27I'm being listened to.
04:28I'm not being gaslit.
04:29So, anyway, I did a little bit of a cry.
04:31I did a bit of a cry.
04:32I was outside, I did a bit of a cry.
04:34Calming myself down.
04:35I went in, I told them my story.
04:37The, nasib baik,
04:38the two kakak police women
04:40and even the abang policeman tu,
04:42they even, you know,
04:44agreed to me that that was wrong.
04:45So, it validated my,
04:47it validated my experience as well
04:50and my feelings and my emotions
04:51and then that helped a lot.
04:52I will be meeting the director tomorrow
04:54and we will be seeing what,
04:56you know, what we can do about this.
04:58But for me,
04:59what I want is very, very clear.
05:01I want an issued statement from MBSJ,
05:04from the city council,
05:05stating that,
05:06stating that the misconduct of their officers
05:11has been done through this operation
05:13and it was wrong for them to do so
05:15and I want the officer in charge
05:18or the officer who spoke mostly to me
05:20to say that they are,
05:22they apologize for misusing their power,
05:24misusing their position
05:26and, you know, this kind of,
05:28this kind of attitude and behavior
05:30should never be condoned.
05:32Should never be condoned
05:33and should not be repeated
05:34and it was wrong for them to do so
05:36and we will make sure that
05:39our people can entrust us again
05:40and make people feel safe through these operations
05:43and then also I want MBSJ to list down
05:45the actual SOP of what they have to do
05:48in cases, in these kinds of cases.
