00:00More and more Filipinos lost their jobs last October, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority.

00:05What will be the jobs that will be in demand next year?

00:19But for now, she is looking for potential job openings.

00:23In the Philippines, it's hard to find a job.

00:26AI is becoming more and more commonplace.

00:30The Labor Department says it's a good thing.

00:32But instead of responding, Secretary Bienvenido La Guesma said

00:36AI is just a chance to create a new type of job.

00:42PESDA, which is an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment,

00:46is now actually doing programs with respect to AI.

00:52Compared to last September, the unemployment rate in the country increased this October,

00:58based on the data of the Philippine Statistics Authority.

01:01Likewise, the underemployment rate, or those who have a job,

01:05but the income is not enough, or the salary and benefits are not enough.

01:11The University of the Philippines launched a job placement office.

01:15A better match would help in their employment.

01:20And the most important, the scholars of this country,

01:23we want them to work here in the Philippines.

01:26Based on the key employment generators for the coming years,

01:30jobs in manufacturing, agriculture, transport and logistics,

01:36tourism, construction, healthcare creative industries, education, and IT.
