00:00We have some breaking news. Romania's Constitutional Court has just annulled
00:05the presidential election. Voting was to take place this Sunday. The decision
00:09comes one day after a declassified report revealing shocking details of
00:15foreign or alleged foreign interference. The report suggests that far-right
00:19candidate Kalin Georgescu's unexpected search in the first round was fueled by
00:24Russian-backed efforts. Investigators found that TikTok was flooded with
00:29unmarked content and paid influencers promoting Georgescu in violation, they
00:34said, of Romanian election laws. But that's not all. Romanian intelligence
00:39also uncovered over 85,000 hacking attempts targeting the country's
00:43electoral systems aimed at stealing or exposing sensitive data. The
00:49Constitutional Court said just now that a new election must take place at a
00:54later time next year.
