He joined RJ and Bobby to preview this game, if Texas will adapt to Georgia's scheme after getting dominated by the Dawgs in October, where he thinks Quinn Ewers will go in the 2025 NFL Draft, and more!

00:00Dave, you know, in this, in the first matchup, it felt like at least to be watching it back,
00:20you know, Kirby smart has done such a great job over the years just with like, you know,
00:25deep front shifts and doing different things to kind of challenge what what teams are looking
00:30at pre snap. And it looked like Texas wasn't prepared for that at all. And that it really
00:34challenged a lot of their their blocking and an offensive line that had been, you know,
00:38really heavily praised leading up to that game. Do you think that they've got a better
00:42handle on that? And that they should be better prepared going into this game? Or is that
00:46something where it's like, man, there was really no excuse not to be prepared for the
00:49kind of things Kirby smart likes to do defensively?
00:52No, I think it's it's fair to say that, you know, Georgia caught him a little off guard,
00:56took him into some deep water that maybe they had, they hadn't been tested early on in the
01:01season. Certainly, this is a Texas team that's, there's more battle scars on them now. And
01:06they there's lessons learned from the Georgia game, there's lessons learned from some of
01:10the other close contests they've had throughout the year. So I think they're, you're, the
01:15experiences you get, you know, obviously add up. And I think that this is a team in Texas,
01:21there's a lot of veteran guys along their offensive line, they'll take offense, when
01:24you start talking about players, taking offense to something, that's something certainly when
01:29they throw the tape on from the Georgia game and see them giving up seven sacks and 10
01:33tackles for loss, you can bet that that crowd, regardless of what the game plan is, is going
01:39to be cranked up and ready to play, just simply because the pride factor that kicks in with
01:44players, but certainly from an adjustment standpoint, I thought that this arc may have
01:49gotten away from the run game a little bit. They're really good with their short passing
01:53attack, they have the ability to stretch you and hurt you down the field. But Georgia is
01:57not going to let you hold a football that long. So they've got to be able to get the
02:00ball out. And I think certainly getting their run game cranked up, obviously, the way they
02:04did against Texas A&M will be a big deal in this game. But all the experiences you gather
02:10throughout the year make you better, you're supposed to be better at the end of the year.
02:14And these two teams, I think are peaking at the right time.
