00:00Barron Trump is only 18, but if you look at what happened during this election, he promises
00:09to carry some influence with his dad.
00:12If you look at some of the images over the last month or so, you know, in the wake of
00:17Trump's victory, you see three people sitting at a table at Mar-a-Lago.
00:22You see Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Barron Trump.
00:25You don't see Donald Jr. or Eric or Ivanka.
00:28I think that Barron was incredibly important in the strategy that Donald Trump played going
00:35on these big podcasts, podcasts that Barron Trump watches.
00:38And not just watches, but podcasts that Barron Trump said would resonate with voters.
00:44So his dad is listening to him.
00:47So we haven't really heard from Melania.
00:49Now Melania, there are some people who say she's kind of a helicopter parent because
00:54she has kind of put her life on hold for the last 18 years, really being the, you know,
00:59the parent to Barron.
01:02And we haven't really heard her talk much about it, but she did today on Fox and Friends
01:07and kind of gave us a little bit of an insight into Barron's time at NYU, where he's a student
01:13right now, and also his influence over his dad.
01:16I'm very proud of him about his knowledge, even about politics.
01:21He was very vocal, and he gave advice to his father, and it was incredible how he brought
01:29in a success, because he knew exactly who his father needs to contact and to talk to.
01:36I don't think it's possible for him to be a normal student.
01:39His experience at college, it's very different than any other kid.
01:46And I'm very proud how he's handling, he's very strong, and he knows that he's in a different
01:53position than other children.
01:56Well, I definitely agree with what Melania says here.
02:00Barron Trump at NYU does not operate like a normal kid.
02:02And for those watching, I'm one of the senior producers here at TMZ.
02:06And a couple of days ago, I went to NYU and spoke with a ton of different kids and asked
02:11them just about Barron Trump's life.
02:13And as one person put it to me, he is a ghost on campus.
02:17I mean, he is in and out of buildings very quickly, and understandably so.
02:21I mean, he's with a ton of Secret Service agents.
02:24So when he has class, he bounces out of an SUV.
02:27They all huddle around him.
02:29I'm being told he goes to back, sits usually in the back of class, surrounded by a ton
02:34of people.
02:35So you could imagine being in that situation.
02:37His ability to socialize with others is pretty limited.
02:41So even though he's not the big man on campus now, still important to remember he's in the
02:45first semester of his freshman year.
02:47So plenty of time to go.
02:49Well, also, you talked about the way he's socializing is kind of is with gaming.
02:54Yeah.
02:55And listen, it's not that uncommon for people who are freshmen in college to socialize with
02:59others over gaming.
03:00But I think in Barron's case, think about his circumstances.
03:04It's not like it's so easy for him to bop around at college bars.
03:07He's probably a little isolated, hanging out at his house, playing video games.
03:11So when he is talking to people on campus, I've been told that he speaks to a couple
03:17of different people in class, asking them for their discord usernames for those unfamiliar
03:22discord is a platform that's easy to chat while you game.
03:27So he definitely wants to socialize with people.
03:30But again, it's a little bit difficult given his circumstances.
03:32But at the same time, I really have this feeling that, you know, because I mean, I'm
03:38old enough to remember the Bush twins.
03:40Yeah.
03:41When George W. Bush was president, they were in college.
03:44They kind of had a college experience.
03:46They partied.
03:47You remember seeing all the stories.
03:48I don't think Barron's that kind of kid.
03:50I don't think he's that kind of kid either.
03:51But I think the issue is, as a student, is he going to kind of integrate himself into
03:57campus life?
03:58Hi, guys.
03:59It's Louise from the UK.
04:02And I think Barron is just super mature and really confident for his age.
04:06And I think he has to be because of his background.
04:09I really love his relationship with his dad.
04:11And as you said, you know, he encouraged him to use podcasts, which enabled him to connect
04:15with the younger generation.
04:16And I just think he has a bright future ahead of him.
04:19And he definitely is one to watch in the future.
04:21I think that's right.
04:22I think that's absolutely right.
04:23I agree.
04:24All rightedly.
