DR. Aster Mobile clinic offers free medical checks in Dubai

00:00It's 6.45 p.m. and as the evening rush settles in Satwa, this 45-seater van has been converted

00:10into a mobile clinic. Dr. Aster Mobile, as it's fondly referred to, is part of a Doctors

00:17on Wheel program that was started by the Aster DM Healthcare in 2012 December. Every day

00:24the van with two doctors and two paramedicals on board sets off across various locations

00:31in the UAE to conduct free tests and check-ups for blue-collar workers. Many of them don't

00:38know that they have blood pressure and sugar. When we came to know, when we go there we

00:44conduct labor camps and they'll come here, they get checked and they find out that they

00:49got high blood pressure and they'll tell, no sir, I'm normal. Then I'll find out that

00:54I have high blood pressure. Then we'll tell. No need to worry. What to do and what not

00:59to do. Aster DM Healthcare has three mobile clinics, one dedicated in UAE, Philippines

01:09and Jharkhand in India. More than 130,000 people have benefitted in the UAE alone.
