Meet the Pinoy idols in the UAE

00:00It's an honor to have this kind of citation, it's an affirmation of how well we were able

00:19to extend ourselves to the community.

00:20I feel so overwhelmed with this recognition and at the same time for the humbling reminder

00:21of the responsibility of being one of the global Pinoy idols.

00:30I'm very happy that our work as idols, they call it idols, are recognized and it will

00:40encourage more of the W to help more of our Kapampayan.

00:46A lot of factors, one of which is being selfless, resilient, and to be able to help other people

00:52to the best that we can.

00:53I think going beyond what is supposed to be done, like for example, as an OFW, you work

00:59eight hours a day, so the challenge is what's next, what happens after the eight hours working

01:06time.

01:07And that's what will decide for you to become the next global Pinoy idol.

01:10I think for me, the Filipinos make a global Pinoy idol because we are all concerned with

01:23our fellow Filipinos and they group together and do some projects to help those displaced

01:29OFWs.

01:30And that is what makes us different.

01:34My word of encouragement for every OFW is that even if you have any little things, when

01:40you do that collectively with your friends, with the community, it will make an impact

01:44and it will be magnified a thousand fold.

01:47Make your stay worthwhile, it's not just all about the job, that you do good, extend yourselves

01:52to the community and you can basically touch people's life.
