00:09The 860-year-old medieval cathedral, a symbol of France and Paris, has been expertly rebuilt
00:14with a new spire and bridge vaulting, flying buttresses and carved stone gargoyles reviving
00:20its former glory.
00:21French President Emmanuel Macron says the reopening would be as shocking as the fire,
00:26but it will be a shock of hope.
00:28The Notre-Dame Cathedral undergoes a five-year renovation, with thousands of expert craftspeople
00:33working tirelessly to restore and repair damaged parts.
00:36Macron's office says the renovation received 840 million euros, or about $882 million,
00:42from all over the world.
00:44The Catholic Church expects the cathedral to welcome 15 million visitors annually.
00:49Starting Saturday, visitors can book a free ticket online, on its website, social media,
00:55a dedicated app, or a queue on the spot.
00:58The cathedral also built an app for self-guide visits.
